One thing that's pretty difficult about being an MMA fan is being considered a "hater" when giving any fighter criticism and being called a "fanboy" when saying anything remotely positive about one. There's no such thing as giving any objective observation without the immediate assumption that you're either all-in against a fighter, or blindly supportive of. Gets pretty irritating.

You can say that again. I just got called a racist yesterday on Twitter because I said Jon Jones, the millionaire, had to resort to off-brand viagra that just so happened to contain a banned substance that made him fail a drug test days before a title fight and that along with his other conspiracies he's a cheat and out of the goat conversation. So apparently having said that, that apparently makes me a racist for "hating on a black man".

In reference to 4:35 Here is some behind the scenes knowledge on fighters that do not have Wikipedia pages. I have been an editor on Wikipedia for many years in the MMA section. The main thing that qualifies a fighter for a page on Wikipedia is passing the notability requirements. They must have fought at least three times in a top tier promotion. What is considered a top-tier promotion varies throughout time however there is a diagram on Wikipedia to refer to when looking at this anyways I digress sometimes just because a fighter does not have a Wikipedia page does not mean they are not a dangerous and capable athlete for instance Jiri Prochazka, up until he defeated Dominic Reyes recently he did not have a Wikipedia page either and he is ranked 2nd at light heavyweight and just got his... That's just an example what I'm saying is the reasons some fighters do not possess a page on Wikipedia does not reflect their skill in the octagon merely the qualification standards of the website don't get me wrong there are just people from the regional scene that are "nobody's" too tho

I liked it when UFC 1st absorbed Pride FC and was doing events all over the world. To be honest tho, I really miss Pride FC, they were the pinnacle of MMA, and really had a majesty about it, especially with the one night tournaments and grand prix where fighters would fight up to three opponents in the same night, open weight tournaments, and the freakshow matches.

That guy from DWCS who called his opponent a terrorist after missing weight. Mike Perry. Greg Hardy. Paulo Costa after trying to destroy a card because of his weight. Chael Sonnen. And so many more.

MLB drafts are far lesser known, compared to the NFL (first in this rank) and the NBA (Second in this rank) NHL may even be higher ranked then, the MLB in it's future player base. When the player in question, is marketable then yes but, its the question of when, is the player marketable? A very small example of right out high schoolers become that, well known.
