GREAT NEWS For Ricciardo After Red Bull's SHOCKING ULTIMATUM For Perez!

  • ■ Sergio Perez found himself in yet another disastrous situation in which he might lose his seat from 2025 onwards, but the bigger threat is that Red Bull are likely considering a mid-season switch now that the competition in the constructors and the driver’s championship has racked up to the point of the Austrian squad not having any comfort to deliver with one driver only. After the latest statements coming from Horner, Marko and Ricciardo, as well as Perez’s brutal self-critique of his performance, could we see a change in scenery sooner rather than later, and more importantly, is Ricciardo the right choice for this situation?

Believe it or not, but Red Bull once again opened up about a potential replacement where Ricciardo goes to RB and Perez gets fired from the RB seat, this is because Perez his current performance is far below expectations
Then you're probably wondering, ''doesn't he have a contract'', yes he does! but within the contract there are certain performance related agreements that if Perez doesn't meet those, Red Bull is free to replace him with someone else.
    More info in the video!

going to lawson to replace perez makes no sense... not enough experience at the pointy end of the field.. would be no different to perez in my opinion. Big risk in a tight race. Needs a strong runner to take points off mclaren, ferrari and merc drivers to protect maxs championship and constructors. Promoting Yuki is risky. He is too bad tempered, tempestous, makes rash decision, prone to ranting and raving and just loses his cool. Racing against max will cause A LOT Of issues. Especially in a tight championship. Promoting danni ric makes the most sense. Danni ric has experience against max. He is in a different stage of his life. He will help the team bag points and podiums and help keep ferrari mclaren and merc at bay. In the right car and right team danny ric will rebuild his confidence. He has proven at mclaren he can drive and win and he's bagged some good positions this year in a dog of a car in the VCARB RB. I think he is the safer bet. Get him in there for the remaining 6 months. Evaluate and then decided on 2025 line up

Are you sure is Checo's performance the one that is far below expectations? What about the terrible job Bird is doing, the atrocious set ups by his garage?
It had to be European F1 news to be pushing this old narrative, Daniel performance is way way far below of the expectations.
Go look for Juan Pablo Montoya's comments on the set up of the cars, go take a good look at the onboards and telemetry. Just do 5 minutes of real research and stop echoing this old narrative that no one believes...well unless they don't know anything about F1.

Perez is a tough fit at RB. Team is centered around Max and Max likes the car set up much different than Perez. As it better suits Max, it hurts Perez. Ricciardo, though under performing by his standards, does bring huge marketing in multiple markets and he likes his car set up similar to Max. Not saying he'll recapture his previous glory, but he'd be a safer 2nd option than Perez. For Yuki, I"d be a bit afraid of his temper causing issues on track with Max. Yuki wants to win, Max expects special treatment. Lawson is a 'remains to be seen.' He needs more seat time.

@Legorreta.M.D oh, I agree. That's what I'm saying. They have the same chassis, which is catered to working for Max. So since Perez likes an understeer heavy car, they are killing the speed of an oversteer heavy platform to better match what Perez is looking for in driving dynamics. With Ricciardo, his setup preferences better match up with Max's, and therefore, the car's underlying dynamics. That'll make the car quicker. I don't think it's that Perez is an awful drive, but it's basically the same thing as Ricciardo's issues at McLaren. Wrong driver for that specific car.

Red Bull should absolutely replace Perez with Ricciardo for the rest of this season. This will free up the VCARB seat for Lawson this season. Plus, Ricciardo has said that his desire was to ultimately retire with Red Bull, so there is a chance that if he gets that seat for a half season and rediscovers his form that puts him on a podium (or maybe even a race win), Ricciardo may end up retiring on his own terms. Of course, Red Bull can always sack him at the end of the season if they so desired.
Either way, the team needs to do something if they want to keep the championship titles secured. With Ricciardo, you have someone who understands the RB philosophy and someone who will be willing to play the team game. More importantly, he is immediately available to swap.

How is his performance a guarantee? If RB want performance out of Perez, they need to stop capping his performances, which is something Montoya noticed with an onboard.
*Talking about the Red Bull team, Juan Pablo Montoya said:* “One thing about the Austrian Grand Prix when I was watching, is *the difference in the balance of Checo’s [Perez] car and Max’s [Verstappen] car, that surprised me.* If you see Checo’s car and you see Max’s car in the corners, *Max’s car completes the corners and in Checo’s car it is impossible to go faster.* Checo’s car was a little bit like Fernando’s [Alonso] car, he made the corners and at the same time at the end of the corners, *the car didn’t turn. He had to slow down because he was running out of track and Max’s car completed the corner,* so it’s an interesting topic because it could be an issue that the setup was compromised in some way. Or one doesn’t know internally what is there because Red Bull has not really criticised Checo at all. Yes, he lacked speed in the race and everything but *if you look at the balance of the car in qualifying and the balance of Max’s car, they are two very different cars.”*
