Melissa's Wish to have a Birthday Party

Melissa began her life in the hospital like the majority of babies, unfortunately, after a diagnosis of leukemia, she spent the next few years of her life almost living at the hospital. In order to get the care she needed, Melissa's mom Jona had to quit her job to stay by her daughter's side.
Because Melissa had to spend so much time in the hospital, she never got to have a real birthday party. Her family tried their best to make her birthdays as special as they could, but like any kid, Melissa wanted to blow out the candles and have a big fancy cake. Those things are always possible in a hospital setting.
When it was determined that Melissa was cancer free and was going to receive her wish from Make-A-Wish, everyone was ecstatic. She wished for a birthday party, and a birthday part is what she got.
It was such a surprise to Melissa because she had no idea that her entire family would be there to support and celebrate with her, and many others who were a part of her life.
Celebrating her birthday for the day meant so much to Melissa and her family. To see her face and excitement was what made it all worth it.
