4:07 The quaver in her voice always get me, it's almost as if for a moment she's overwhelmed by emotion. I love the sincerity she has towards her emotion and how unafraid she's about making them leak sometimes in her songs. I love how her music is emotional, she's singing from the heart. Clearly if you're hypersensitive it can be very something to hear her music. It's sincere, it's pure, it's touching. It makes her music absolutely personal like an arthouse film.

Hearing Bjork songs and then scrolling down to the comment section is always an experience, since one would believe comments for songs like these are in a non human language but then you see english and remember everything

    Pedaling through
    The dark currents
    I find
    An accurate copy
    A blueprint
    Of the pleasure
    In me
A secret code carved, a secret code carved
    He offers
    A handshake
    Crooked
    Five fingers
    They form a pattern
    Yet to be matched
    On the surface simplicity
But the darkest pit in me
    It's pagan poetry
    Pagan poetry
    Morsecoding signals
They pulsate and wake me up
    From my hibernating
    On the surface simplicity
But the darkest pit in me
    It's pagan poetry
    Pagan poetry
I love him, I love him
I love him, I love him
I love him, I love him
I love him, I love him
    This time
I'm gonna keep it to myself
    This time
I'm gonna keep me all to myself
And he makes me want to hurt myself again
And he makes me want to hurt myself again

If I ever met Bjork, I'd be polite and respectful but I'd be thinking you played alot of the songs that I listened to throughout my college and uni years and beyond. Chapeau Bjork (and Sugarcubes). You always find the sound that you connect with.

      Cocoon?

    • @micheldegas1574
      @micheldegas1574 Před 7 lety +75

well, cocoon is very explicit in its lyrics, but idk, it sounds more subtle, innocent and careful on the subject. pagan poetry is raw and straight, so in my perception, way more pornographic. also the song is more related to the flesh (as the video screams), the exposure of the body, while cocoon is introverted, a shield to any harm.
