What a beautiful soul this woman has. No other artist is capable of making me experience so many emotions at one given time. Her voice has this ethereal quality to it. NEVER STOP MAKING MUSIC BJöRK!!
Natasha Ferreira very true. I think Anthony and the Johnsons come close to producing music that is equally full of emotion and humanity but Bjork is most definitely the master. They're also good friends which I guess would make sense.
What attracts me to Björk and her music is the fact that I feel she reaches a level of maturity, uniqueness, and experimentation that not many artists can reach. She’s always remained boldly original in the music world and I will always respect her and consider her an influence in my own musical productions.
Björk is so different from all the other musicians. She doesnt just sing, she IS the music with all of her body, her soul, her heart and everything she is. Not only a musician, but a genius artist in sound, vision and lyrics. Sadly I never had the pleasure to visit one of her breathtaking live-performances yet. :(
I been listening to this off and on for over a decade. I think I finally realized the full meaning. When we are with our twin flame, be it a friend or lover, the resonant frequency is one. We literally " make love " just being around our twin flame. Not in a sexual way but that's ok too. There are those waiting to destroy that and we get to make more when we are rejoined. awesome song 🥰
Her art is deceptively simple, I was just watching the video and noticed all the exquisite detail in the way the yarn braids her hair, the layers of lace that comprise the dress, all matched with the music deceptive simplicity, an organ, a sax, some electronic beats.

Fredrich Fernando the lyrics are annoying. I don't like her inflection. That's how. Not a bad song. One of the better songs out there and certainly better than that hip hop garbage and pop shit on the radio today.
I hope you are doing better, and if not know that it will get better and often one ends up on the other side as a better person than before. Good luck!
I admit when I was younger, I never really "got" most of Björks music, but now.. yeah now I understand, idk if it's because my taste in music changed or if I put more thought into understanding lyrics and composition now.
It needs some livin' to appreciate its depth. I love how music keeps changing over time, depending on the experiences we've had in our lives. It just gets more and more beautiful. One of the joys of aging, if only we could realise it. ♥️
Same story here, I never liked Bjork when I was younger, despite finding her artwork and production interesting. Now that I’m older I appreciate the beauty of her songwriting and lyrics. I’m not huge on her newer work, but she’s still one of my favorite artists now.
This song reminds me of the weeks leading up to the worst break up of my life. I could feel everything 'unraveling', and would always listen to this song. While it made me cry, it also made me feel less alone. It's a beautiful piece by an immensely talented artist.
I love Bjork. Going all the way back to elementary school and high school, none of my friends liked her. But in university I met one friend who did. Unbelievable. She's amazing. Well I guess if your an innovator, ppl will hate. That's okay. She's fantastic.

One of the many things that I love about Bjork is how she transforms herself and her music for each album, but in a very organic way; Homogenic is more mature than Post, more electronic and cathartic, certainly not pop but a natural maturation of its qualities... I could go on all day about every one of her albums, how they connect to each other, and yet how each one is undeniably unique in a world full of generic music. So I'll sum it up like this (which is just how I see it): Debut is the bridge between Sugarcubes and full-fledged Bjork, Post the colourful embrace of chaos, Homogenic the stand against expectations, Vespertine the invitation into intimacy, Medulla the exploration of internal history, Volta the cathartic vessel of energy, Biophilia the abandonment of traditional means, and Vulnicura the release of honest and raw melodrama. I can't wait to see what she'll do next. After Vulnicura, you might expect her healing to give way to more optimistic music, something completely free and likely the most avant-garde yet. But you never know. I think a lot of people (myself included) would love to hear something that comes full circle with Post; Vulnicura is the flip-side to Vespertine in terms of material, but sounds very much like Homogenic. In any case, I'll listen to anything she has to offer!
Dan French This is amazing and so true! i loved reading this. But i'd count the B-Sides in, because they also have their own charm, like the B-Side of Post is very Happy and Positive you know? B-Side of Vespertine is more mysterious and secretly depressing i'd say... :D
