GSXR COMPLETE TIME LAPSE REBUILD | 2004 SUZUKI GSXR 750 | START TO FINISH

- I picked up my very first motorcycle to flip! I bought this 2004 Suzuki GSXR 750 for $1,500. It runs and rides already, but definitely needs some love and TLC. Just look at the walk around clips in the beginning of the video, nasty! When I bought the bike there were a few issues I knew about, but as I started the build many more issues came about. Overheating, missing OEM parts, an unknown FI light, etc. What a mess this one was!
I have fallen in love with fixing up bikes that need help. Motorcycles are meant to be driven, not sittin! My goal was to get this GSXR back to perfect riding shape so that another rider can enjoy this beautiful machine. With that said, this motorcycle is now for sale! I can't wait to send it home to a new owner who will take care of it.
I will be showing every little thing I can but please forgive me if I miss a few clips here and there. This will be my first time lapse build video so I will do the best I can!
**SHORT EXHAUST CLIP AT END OF VIDEO**
If you have any questions about the parts I used, how I did something in the video, why I repaired a certain part of the bike, or just want to tell me where you're watching from, shoot me a comment! Thanks for watching and I will see you in the next build!

Thanks for watching! Please read the description :) See you all in the next build!
Recently got my first bike and it's a project bike. This video even being time-lapsed is the most informative video I've found all month. Appreciate cha broski
Thanks my guy, means a lot 🙏
I had the yellow and black version of this awesome machine. Wow, it was a puppy round town but get it on the open road and give it it’s head it was an absolute monster! I never managed to top it out but I did 150mph+ all the time very very easily, mostly on my way to work. One time I had a dice with a Porsche 911 along the M4 motorway in South Wales and he gave up after 20 miles or so, he had better top end, allegedly, but I got there significantly quicker. He actually saluted me😊 IMHO this is the best bike ever all round Suzuki should never stop making the 750 but they have - error.
You honestly showed the perfect way to start riding motorcycles, You should be able to do everything you just did and learn about what your riding, Love the video.
I appreciate this comment more than you know! Thanks 🙏
Great job, I have a 05 GSXR 600 and just did a rebuild last winter also. I did all new chain and sprockets, tires also. If I were you I would look and a newer exhaust that hasn't been cut. This is my favorite year GSXR out of many many bikes over the years.
Love the detail you put in the video! The editing was nice and enjoyed the description. Awesome job on the build and can't wait to see what's next🔥🔥🔥
Hey thanks, much appreciated! Still learning as much as I can so I can bring bigger and better projects to the channel. Much love!
Had a 2005 750.....and so much of this video reminds me of all the stuff i did. Had broken front faring stay broken that was held together with zip ties. The exhaust was trashed with amateur welds holding it together....etc etc
Wow, loved the video bro ! Definitely made me feel comfortable in looking at a gsxr 750 , keep em coming !!!
More to come!
I did the same to mine and i even take the motor out and put all the parts brand new inside of it soo good work
Nice job man, love the srad-mid 2000s era of these bikes, you showed her some love unlike the previous owner(s) and she'll look after you now
amazing work!! you've inspired me to work on my own gsxr
Great job and an absolutely beautiful bike, you’re totally living the dream 👍
It's good to see you bring it back to life 🙌
Thanks brother! 🙏

Thanks brother! I appreciate your support. Stay tune I’m trying to post as much as I can! Cheers 🤘
Good job Taylor. I like reconstruction videos about bikes. Thanks for all from Spain!! I subscribe now.
Thanks! Watching all the way from Spain?! Greetings! 🤘
Nice restore. Lets hope you will never have a problem with leaking seal under clutch cover (near the pump). BTW if you need an easier clutch - dont try to install hand levers, its useless. Just swap the clutch cover with the one from GSR600 and extend its lever.
This is so pleasing to watch - great Job!
Thanks!
You're putting a lots of effort on this bike 👍🏼
Thanks! Definitely was a lot of work for a beginner like me! 🙏
I see you love your bike 🙂, VERY nice video THANKS!
Awesome vid, nice job, the 04 & 05’s are great bikes, classics!
Thanks Jim!
I bought the red & black version when I got home from Iraq… just for it to get stolen two weeks later.
Well done on this build. It’s beautiful.
Aw man no way! I’m sorry to hear that. Thanks for your service 🙏
@@taylorjhaug
My pleasure.
They found it. Well, parts of it, they found the block & frame… completely stripped. Oh well. That’s life.
Hi…I have a k5 750, and I love it. More then enough power for me, the look is timeless. Raw power with out any computer assistance…or intervene. K4-K5 kick ass all day!!✌🏼

C’est intéressant car on peut voir étapes par étapes la progression que tu as fais sur ta moto 😊
Bravissimo mi piacciono le persone che si fanno i lavori che possono fare alla sua moto bravissimo
Actually this is a k5 model from 2005. For me, one of the best models ever, still got a k5 600 same color😍😍
Best model gsxr!
Support you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Nice project
Thank you 🙏
Mad!
Just a side note, those wire mesh grills face the other way around and are meant to be mounted on the front cowling.
Held in by glue from factory if my memory serves me correctly.
Thanks! Yeah those mesh grills were giving me issues tbh. After I put them on I couldn’t put the front fairing on correctly, so I ended up not running them. Although I do like the look of them 👍
It'S a treasure 🏍️ OLD but is Gold 💰
Guy had really messed it up!Good job on the resto.Had an immaculate 2007 blue white Gixxer myself.Buyer had an accident on it.Hit from behind.Felt really bad
Thanks buddy! Yeah the previous owner didn’t take the best care of the bike. It’s a pet peeve of mine when a motorcycle isn’t in the shape it should be 🙏
کارت درسته پسر ..... عالی
Good motorcycle
🇨🇵 good job! 💪🏼👌
Thanks brother! 🙏
awesome!
Thanks! 🤘
The 04 gixxers have the best sound no matter what aftermarket exhaust you put in
Amen to that! I’m not a fan of gsxr’s personally. But if I was to buy one, it would be a K4 or K5 that’s for sure 👌
Excellent video you inspired me to mess around with my bike.
Can you help a brother out and suggest a video on how you did the wiring for the battery tray. That is the only issue i have majorly with my bike since previous owner had LED lights on it and did a bunch of janky wiring mods.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Dissembly = means removing seat and mirrors
Waterless wash = turns your brush into a microfiber cloth
Anyway.....
This is awesome bike and awesome rebuild...... Looks pretty good.....
Nice job..... 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 🙏
Great job!!!! I have the 20th aniversary edition...wich model of Yoshimura is that you have?
Great rebuild bro. Enjoyed watching and learned alot. What you end up selling the bike for?
Great video .thx . About to replace my head light cluster on my 05 60 and was wandering if any one can advise the process of removing the front fairing . Just a simple run down ? I tried to slow this vid down but couldn’t see which fixings needed undoing ? ( rookie here )
Great 😃👍video I learned a lot thanks it's a beautiful bike..... Are u flipping this one...... How much......
Genial 👍

Good evening and God bless you. This is James, Tempe, Az. God bless you with some great skills. Great build. I would love to buy a 2004 bike from you, if you have any. I'm looking for a 2004, but can't seem to trust people here, any suggestions buying a used bike? ???????? Thank you kindly.
Muito bom!!!!
Thanks! 🙏
Hi Taylor, good job, well done. It seems you had a pretty decent deal. Would you share with us your grand total amount spent on replacement parts?
Thanks brother! I have another video explaining the price breaking. Check it out on my channel!
About do the same to a 2008 Kawasaki ZZR 600, I'm hoping I won't have to do as much as you did but it'll be close.
Awesome brother 🤘 go get it done! We got riding to do!
Would you remember where you got that licence plate bracket from? I've looked for the same one for ages but can't find it 😂
Keren bg 😍🇮🇩
🙏
I wish I had the guts to ride one of those
Haha they are scary sometimes for sure! But if careful, can be so much fun! 😎
@@taylorjhaug facts we all have our dangers
Me I like to go to the gym and get under weights that can possibly crush me🏋️♂️
@@Reppintimefitness EXACTLY haha but you're a boss so you ain't getting crushed! ;)
Where do you get them parts from? Great freakin work! I noticed the forks and seals looked really clean, rims too
It depends. Some parts are Amazon parts. OEM parts I get from partszilla.com
i wish i could build motorcycles like you
You totally can my guy! Start small and learn as you go, we all start somewhere. And me, I started with NO experience whatsoever lol
@@taylorjhaug wow! thanks for the tips sir
i’m learning a lot from your videos
@@5SR8 we can all learn from each other!
hello i'm from bali indonesia, glad to see your video i have a 2002 suzuki gsxr 750 motorbike and it has a problem, at first the motorbike when it is turned on and driven is still in normal condition, the volt meter also shows the numbers 13 - 14 volts, with the temperature of the bike the motorbike is 80 - 100 celcius , but if I stop or have arrived at my destination, I turn off the motorbike, but when I turn the motorbike back on the motorbike won't turn on like a dropped battery, even though the battery is new. If I leave the motorbike for about 45 minutes and the temperature of the motorbike is not too hot, then the motorbike can be turned on again. I hope you can help reply to my comment, thank 👍✌
carefull with those cheap levers. there are alot of youtube videos about them locking up when someone is driving and crashing. its important to check the pushrod pin inside the lever moves free. if you look there are a few videos. there should be very little pressure needed to line up the mounting bolt if installed correctly. im describing the front break side. just a heads up!
Thanks for the heads up! Everything was in order. I’ve had them on most of my bikes so they’ve always been okay for me!
I’m about to try to revive my 04 Gsxr 600 that’s been sitting in my barn for 9 years. Nothing was wrong when I parked it, other than what you have shown in the video would you recommend me changing/checking?
Just an overall check up like I did in the video. However, I would def checkout the valves and see if they need to be adjusted as well after sitting for so long!
does the k4 1000 have the same issues?
Where did u buy a new subframe under tray or is it used?
I bought all the OEM parts from partzilla.com including the undertrey!
💯
Hola la regilla del ramo Air está colocado al revés de fábrica tengo la misma moto pero en 600cc ❤️🏍️🏍️
Thanks 🙏
I fell in love with this bike, do you still have her? If so I’m interested in buying 🙏🏻
Hey brother, I am sorry but I already sold it! I do have another bike for sale coming soon tho!
ultra lemon :D
Guess I’m making lemonade then 🤪
It might be an awkward question, but how much did you spend on the project, besides the bike it self? I'm looking to restore one myself and would like to have a budget laid out for it.
I have a full cost breakdown video on the Gsxr, feel free to check it out! Off the top of my head I think I spent $1500 on the bike, and like $1000 on repairs
👏👏👏
🙏🙏🙏
Który model gsxr jest najbardziej ceniony w USA?
Any way to mount a k4 engine to a k2 frame any info would be appreciated
I have no idea tbh
Hey Taylor bro, can I ask you, how many cash do you invest in that 750??
Awesome job man!
✌🏻😃
Super.. Were is the rear mudguard??
Didn’t have one when I bought it unfortunately!
that's aftermarket
I'm 7...siCk...half way through video already commenting nothing like T.L.c. . . .
