  • This video provides campers with a drive through view of the Timber Creek Campground located within the Rocky Mountain National Park. The Timber Creek Campground is 14 miles north of the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake, Colorado.
Timber Creek is the second largest campground within Rocky Mountain National Park; the largest is the Moraine Campground located on the east side of the National Park near Estes Park.
Our CZcams Channel, "Colorado Campgrounds - What you need to know" provides campers with drive through videos of Colorado's four National Parks, Colorado State Parks, and other public and private campgrounds within Colorado.

I am adventuring out to Timber Creek Campground for the first time in the coming days and found your video. This was extremely helpful information and I appreciate the drive through of the campsites! Excited to be visiting.

Great that you found our CZcams channel. Hope you venture into RMNP and see some elk and moose. The Trail Ridge Road is a must drive above treeline and across the alpine tundra on the highest continuously paved road in the U.S.

This is a year after you posted this, but the timing was perfect for it to come up on our YT feed. We'll be hosting at Timber Creek this year (24) and have only done a very brief drive through previously. So thanks for giving us an enhanced lay of the land. We'll be heading there next weekend.

I really like staying there and am sorry I didn’t take my fly rod to fish the headwaters of the Colorado River which runs through the Kawuneeche Valley and along Timber Creek. Enjoy and thanks for viewing the video. I hope you subscribed to our CZcams channel. The website which used to accompany the CZcams channel was hacked 2 years ago and I decided not to rebuild it, losing three years of work. Oh well. Enjoy camping at TC.

@@coloradocampgrounds-whatyo7709 I bought a fly rod and license when we got to Colorado with the idea of doing something I haven't done in 40+ years. Hope to find an unclaimed spot in the National Forest to do some panning as well. So much to explore and do and so little time.

Welcome aboard! Thanks for subscribing and hope you are telling others about our channel!
I have two more State parks and one private campground yet to load onto our CZcams channel this winter. FYI, our CZcams channel originally had a companion website in which I listed all of our favorite campsites by campground. However, hackers took our website down. Unfortunately, our website host required me to rebuild our website from scratch to ensure there was no malicious embedded code. We chose not to recreate three years of work.
About your request to make a video on our top five Colorado campgrounds, I am not sure that is an approach I favor as each campground has plusses and minuses based on what type of camping and activities one might want to do.
Rather, we do have campsite favorites. I am contemplating creating CZcams videos which highlight our favorite State Park campsites. The video would include campsite pictures and campsite details such as views, proximity to bathroom, levelness of campsite, etc. The videos would be organized by Colorado regions: Northwest, West, Southwest, etc. I am interested in your comments.
Thanks for watching our videos. Colorado has great camping!
      Steve
