Dr. Dean, are you familiar with the SMG trans feature that unlocks one more shift adjustment? It appears on the dashboard when you turn on the sport button and turn off the traction control. May be widely known but wanted to mention. I have the same on my '04 M3 convert. It's a real kick in the pants for "spirited" driving....

Hi bud. I have a problem you might be able to help with. I have a 2012 F11, i got it damaged in the front. Well the problem is the original headlights were Bi Xenon with AFS. Well my friend got me the LCI Bi Xenons with AFS. My question is how do i get the LCI headlights with AFS to work on my pre LCI BMW? Tnx

Broo, how do you clear out your headlight corners the orange. I noticed you cleared it out on your 530 also I don’t think you changed the headlight, how do you clear that out..?
LCI doesn't have the orange corners in the headlights. Those were after 2008

How to uncode the acoustic key
The valet key in the glovebox is just a case, to be used in an emergency, and does nothing unless you place the plastic wallet key inside it. If you loose your main key, you use the wallet key to get in the car via the door lock, then take the case out of the glovebox, and put the wallet key inside it, so it can be inserted into the key reader to release the steering lock and start the car.
Well I don’t need the valet key as if I lose all my keys I can make new ones in seconds 😁 so not a big issue for me and a useless feature for me hence why I removed it.
If the new buyer of my cars loses there keys well I can make them a key without the car so I don’t have to worry and neither do they happy days 😁
BMW Doctor. Well I ain’t got either the wallet key, or the key case in the glovebox on my e90 anyway, plus who can afford valet parking 😁.
I knew all of these except the key good thing to know glad my car didn't get taken
That thing in globe box is called "wallet key adapter".
my dads e 60 doesn't have most features you described. even our DVD player is in grey .

No, only Hummers and Corvettes come equipped with a magnet from factory.
More great info mate. There is one more feature with the side mirrors. If you set the mirror adjustment switch to the left, when you put the car in reverse the left hand side mirror will automatically dip down so you can see the gutter when you want to park.
😂😂😂 you must of read my mind I was just thinking I forgot that one aswell but then it ANNOYS people more then it’s a feature. As when it does it to some people who are not expecting it some people don’t know how to turn it off !
I have had people smash there mirror because it wouldn’t stop doing it back in the days 🤣
Had this feature in my 02 e46 325xi . Love it ✌🏾
I noticed in the first 2010 550i I had that when using that mirror function, it didn't always go back to where I had it set at so I stopped using it pretty quickly
I wonder if those features are in my 525i🤔

Possibly way too late but the e60 m5 is just not reliable enough. The e90 me is wayyyy more reliable
If well maintained then of course m5

Just bought my e60 530i lci msport . N53b30 . Dammmnnn powerfull car . All the maintaince has been done by the previous owner, hi pressure injector , low pressure fuel pump , coils , all the fauly or recall has been done . With full record. I dont regret even a bit buying that car. 272hp stock now i had stage 1 tune with hamman exhaust, next gonna be sport cat extractor and k&n drop in filters . 🔥🔥🔥

Appreciate the features revealed, but most people know about all of these features. The most important thing to know about BMW's features is HOW and WHERE to program them. I suggest ALL BMW owners read,read,and read some more to unlock the true technology you paid for. BMW, like all car manufacturers, wants your car to wear out, and then you buy a new one. Thanks to some awesome people who post common glitches that BMW convinces you are $$$$'s to fix you soon find yourself an expert. Shame on BMW for hiding simple things!
