World population review had a perfect explanation for this a few years ago. In Africa murders regularly aren't even reported to police for example in the slums. And it doesn't take anything for corrupt politicians/police to order some murders to be classified as manslaughter instead.
bro im gonna ramble but please listen…i have lived in south africa my whole life it is not as bad as it it shown on google and the news it is actually a very beautiful place filled with a diverse group of cultures religions heritages ect. it is not that dangerous its only the cape flats and alexandra that are that dangerous there are 7 other provinces with low crime rates and illegal firearm possession cases…i can promise you that South Africa has atleast 70% of its land filled with places with low crime rates ect. trust me i live here…but good vid like the streams too👍🏽

As a South African living in Cape town, I would like to say that not all places in Cape town are dangorus its mainly just the Cape flats, other wise Cape Town is actually a very safe place.

South Africa, however, is one of the African countries that does have readily available records, statistics and census data. I don't get why people are hyperbolizing the violence problem in SA.

I think you’ll get a completely different view of the continent visiting each region. Ethiopia is a very religious country, the only country in Africa not colonized. It has a VAST history, probably the deepest of all African countries because it’s solely their’s.. They don’t have the centuries of colonization and rewritten history that took place everywhere else on the continent. It is a must! Vastly different cultures, from every inch of the spectrum.
