Open flood gates in Tampere, Finland (3D 180°)

Before the dams and factories tamed the rapids, the roar of the Tammerkoski river could sometimes be heard four kilometers away in the neighbouring Messukylä village. In November 2023, the flood gates were opened to avoid flooding up the river. We caught caught an inkling of what a spectacular sight Tammerkoski may have been for our ancestors.
