it is not set in stone that resume has to be in past tense as it can be present tense as well. The arguement is that if you are no longer doing it, then it should be past tense. That is correct. However, resume is a also narrative document that tells people what you have accomplished, thus present tense works as well. The key is consistency. If you past tense, stick to it for the whole resume or vice versa.
