I have a reason for the old cat painting being messed up. When artists took on students they Teacher would do the main feather (being most of the time humans) and the students did the background. So making the cat face humanistic would them practicing how to realistically draw human faces. I love art history(Edit thank for the likes ^^)

North- North you know for Arcane, League of Legends has cats in it; which has somewhat of the same style. And, Arcane is based off of that (you probably knew that) But honestly that one you did looks pretty great.

I liked it, except for the fact that she was basically stalking her crush and it was never brought up. It was a nice concept though and I thought the cat dimension thing was cool.

If there's a style I'd recommend, I'd say the Sea of Thieves cat style. Although they are CGI, the designs are fairly simple, and they are pretty cute. (Also, the Archane design was phenomenal)
You are great at replicating art styles! You absolutely nailed the Russian warriors one. If you ever make another video like this again, I have a couple of suggestions for you:
The first one is a 1998 Italian animated film called Lucky and Zorba ( original title: _La gabbianella e il gatto_ ), which is about a gang of cats trying to raise an orphaned baby seagull and teach her how to fly;
The second one is Peter-No-Tail ( _Pelle Svanslös_ ), a 1981 Swedish animated film whose protagonist is a tailless cat.
Both films are about cats and feature unique and (in my opinion) beautiful art styles, so maybe you could check them out.

i remember a video talking about the arcane style, and described it perfectly. it has the essence of a painting, but has a very geometric style like a low polygon model, and very defined shadows and lighting. i really love your take on it!!

I’d say a Garfield design, but I feel like that would be its own video since Jim Davis has done several different styles for Garfield.
Medieval cats are drawn the way they are because they were considered to be “of the devil”, and anything that was evil/sinful would be drawn with exaggerated emotion to show that they were wild and ungodly, etc. That’s also why good pious humans are also usually drawn with little emotion, since that shows that they are good, civilized, etc.
Tl;dr : medieval cats look freaky because they were church propaganda and emotion is evil.

If you don’t wanna do that and you’re in for a challenge with human anatomy, though, my suggestion is to try BoJack Horseman’s (or, more specifically, Lisa Hanawalt’s) art style.
From all art styles I did not expect Arcane to be here since like look at it- it’s so f cool and gorgeous yet has an intimidating vibe to it and dang the when I saw the end results of your oc on the Arcane art style I was is awe, IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS AND COOL THAT IM ALMOST SPEECHLESS, that definitely has to be my favorite out of all art styles, my second favorite is the Russian warrior cats cover one, it’s looks majestic in some way, also few art styles you could try the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic art style and also from different Warrior Cats CZcamsrs like Moonkitti, Blixemi, TenelleFlowers, Bok Bok Choy and that’s all I have in my mind with art styles
THE SHADING ON THE ARCANE ONE IS SO GOOD! and The Age of WonderBeasts has a really cool artstyle :O

Medieval people painted cats SPECIFICALLY wrong.
This was because back in their day, the church and the king were the only two forms of government. The church, and probably the king, believed that if you drew something photographically, or even somewhat close to anatomically correct, you were "taunting" God and that you would be burned, executed, hanged, etc. etc.
So, the painters of their time, even the very best ones, made their people pale and alien, along with all of their animals, and even their furniture and perspective.

I love all of these! It's both hilarious and amazing to watch you draw.
If you take any suggestions for these types of videos, I find Louis Wain's style very interesting- there are really two types of it- the normal type, and the kaleidoscope type. I'm very interested in Louis Wain's life story but I will spare you the details and say he was basically the creator of all cat memes.

If you do end up doing this again and you're looking for more art styles, I'd say try Amphibia art style since they have a couple of cats and some cat like bugs/bug like cats

The warrior cats Russian art style is my absolute favorite and you NAILED it. I recognized it as soon as I saw it in the thumbnail. Maybe if you do this again uhhh Centaurworld? Dr Seuss? Did you ever do Garfield I don’t remember but if not that’d be a good one.

I feel like you should try to do some of the actually old WarriorCat coers, like the realistic looking ones, meaning you should try and make the cats look more realistic, kinda like real cats, but with a "still cartoon" look. I would really appreciate it, but its totally up to you.

If it’s of any use to anyone..
It looks to me like arcane style uses the more painterly technique of blocking in shapes with a thick rectangular brush before moving to a smaller brush to fix up all the details. So that’s why the usual digital art technique of paint bucket-ing in flat colours, and then adding shading with thin strokes and gradients does not turn out quite the same.
(Hope that makes sense. I’m no expert so I could be way off)
Oddly enough I think you nailed homestuck! The black and white is most accurate because color is very limited to like… a single trait in homestuck. I think the characters with the most colors are the trolls. But everything from earth aside from the sky,grass, and other effects that needed to be highlighted have pretty limited color

Another style that I suggest is Louis Wain, who is famous for his cats.
If you do another one of these, you should try to draw in the art style of Felidae, Redwall (the animated series), or Watership Down- I think one of those would look pretty cool
My little sister watches an animated show called 49 cats and I think it would be cool to see how your oc looks with a sorta 3D style
