I love Leo. During all his sets he doesn’t move an inch. And when he wins grand finals he just... puts one hand up and gives the other player a hug.
Shoutout to Cosmos. Literally watching him grow from practicing with Nairo has been incredible. You can just see the time and effort he has put in and I can’t wait to see him only go up from here. He deserves to be a top name in smash

Cosmos is absolutely amazing at the Aegis ditto matchup. Also would love for Poppt to react to Zomba’s other games in the tournament, his set against Ken was brilliant

Dude I was watching Nairo stream and watching cosmos inproving this way was awesome, also loved when he got mad at the random fsmash cosmos was throwing 🤣
There were so many crazy close game 5s on this final day (and then leo 3-0ing a bunch of people until grands). Not showcased here but spargo beat cosmos to send him to losers (and leo beat spargo to send him to losers) so cosmos winning in losers finals was him getting the run back. Cosmos also wins the ultimate aegis I guess because initially spargo played the ditto into cosmos but switched off to cloud when he was losing and brought it back in the first set. Then leo also switched off aegis against cosmos after losing 2-1 in the ditto. Also props to zomba for removing both an olimar and a sonic player.

The Sparg0 losers finals was so tragic. I really do think Sparg0 is the better player, especially after the first Sparg0 vs. Cosmos set in Winner’s. I just think that the nerves after getting 3-0’d by Leo and an incredibly long night finally got to him.
Still, 3rd place for a player so young is astounding. There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s the 2nd best player in the world behind Leo right now, and I am absolutely sure that one day soon he’ll get his major win.
If he cant keep it up after he got outplayed by leo then he is not the better player, mentality is as important as skill. Cosmos was the better player in the losers match.
Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Not going to spoil anything to those who haven’t seen it, but the finals are so fkn hype so definitely be sure to watch them.
We all know who won the set could be hype but I didn’t watch it cause it’s obvious who was gonna win it’s kinda boring

Yes! I was hoping you'd react to this. Cosmos was so good (minus some games), he's gotten so much better and i'm hyped to see where he can go, one day he will beat Leo.

I wish the Winners Semis set between Sparg0 and Cosmos was included, Sparg0 went absolutely insane in the latter half of the set. Some of the cleanest Smash Ultimate I've ever seen

Pyra mythra are the bayonetta of the game, released as dlc, top tier, super popular, except they aren’t broken like bayo was. And they’re not even the best character in many peoples eyes, I personally think their worse than Pika and Joker because pika and joker are just good at literally everything, (pika has a broken neutral, broken edge guards, broken combos and advantage state, broken disadvantage because of quick attack, prolly the best recovery in the game or at least the least exploitable, disjointed hit boxes, small, and can pancake. Joker has insane frame data, great combos, great advantage, good recovery, INSANE edgeguards, really fast, just like sheik really except he actually kill, AND HE HAS ARSENE, which makes him by far the best character. while pyra mythra have a super bad recovery, but because they’re easy as shit to play everyone uses them
Yeah...aegis players slacking. Hopefully next time it's all 4. Although to be fair, leo mostly played byleth and spargo played cloud at the end. More concerning is how many sonics and olimars were in top 16.

Disappointing tournament, Melee started late and delayed Ultimate by 2 hours, Underdog boost was on for a lot of sets in ultimate and apparently there was 0.9 launch rate in melee. All of that to watch 3 Pyras in top 3. At least Leo won with Byleth.
Plus this whole thing, started with online qualifiers.
This was so anticlimactic with all the mistakes

Petition to make vods analysis for regional qualifiers to put spotlight from other players across the globe. Some great players didn’t make it because of covid restrictions. I would love to see Poppts react to Harasen’s ICs, Proto Lucina, Bloom4eva Bayonetta and a lot more.
