  • Physicians are keeping an eye on a new syndrome that has emerged in children and is suspected to be associated with COVID-19. Pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (PMIS) causes inflammation throughout the body. It resembles Kawasaki disease and can also mimic other serious pediatric inflammatory conditions.
