- Investigators said a 15-year-old boy shot Anthony Lopez with an AR-15 inside an apartment off Wanda Lane. The 15-year-old told police he threw the gun in the bayou after the shooting, but police found it a drainage pipe in the opposite direction.
Also charge the negligent parents for not securing the firearm.
If theyre not white,they wont be charged.

when i was 9 years old my grandpa would take me to a range at our fairgrounds where i took a test to get my hunting license and got to earn my marksmanship medal and patches. that was 45 years ago. certainly was a different world back then

Victims family should sue the perpetrators parents! Make the perpetrator responsible to pay back the victims family when he turns 18 and is working.. the only thing those type of people understand is money, so make them accountable that way….

These new kids are awful and it starts with their parents!!!!! No way in hell as a kid growing up in the 90s my mom would let me stay home while she goes out of town and i was a teen! I hardly ever was unsupervised even as a teen and I was a good kid because my mom didn’t play!

It was common place if trained properly to be left home at 15 years old we were more responsible, and obeyed our parents instructions outside their presence out of respect and fear. It no longer exist today, and 15 year olds are actually nine year olds today out of lack of parenting.
Texas has no specific laws on the age one can stay at home alone..

Nah you got it wrong. The 13-year-old was visiting his mom and stepmom from Washington state. He got killed by a 15year old whose parent left him home alone, to go out of state. That 15 year then got access to his parent's guns and killed someone.
he was probably running around the apartments playing with the guns. Then ended up killing someone, either accidently or on purpose.
