Somehow Palpatine returned to prequel prequel?
I don't know, describing the show as a 'prequel to the prequels' is technically true, but it feels more ego-driven than genuine. Witcher Blood origin is the prequel to The Witcher, but it is worse than all the seasons after season 1. And looking at remembering the cartoonish dialogue of season 3 of Mando, I am sure no one else really trusts them to make anything that isn't just bashing everything that came before(or after if we are talking chronologically).
The acolyte will be terrible just remember this for a few months from now

0:55 Nah man, we should expect nothing less tha "andor level" from Star Wars. Disney is the most powerful entertainment company. They have resources to make amazing thing. It's pathetic that nowdays we wish something to be only decent to be happy.
There's a huge problem trying to emulate the look/feel of TPM on the small screen. The development time, the years of design and re-design, the coherent visuals and real-world locations - you can't just magic that stuff up with FX technology, it's the product of hard graft and time.
With OT/ST settings you can fall back on wild-west grit, brutalist cities, techno-ruins and battered astromechs; for High Republic, it's all about deep design.
It could both be good or bad I'm just going to wait and see because based on what I've seen from these Star Wars TV shows its better to wait then get excited or pessimistic

I mean I guess it makes sense it will show the jedi start to slip and become the morons they are in the prequels might show what the sith are up too and how they cause more corruption weaking the republicand it might show how organizations like the trade federation got so much power which was a major point of the clone wars but we are not seeing young mace or anything since the show is set way before that
If you think about it, it makes sense for the jedi judgment to be as clouded as it seemed. There were hundreds of sith relics beneath the corosant temple, and palpatines power had to have messed with many of their minds. On top of that, war tends change people.
