It looks amazing. Please do a maintenance video of how it held up over time (weeks later). Just took out my bora bora braids and didn’t like how much it tangled (and the daily maintenance) but I would try it again with no braiding hair and all human hair seems it may be better than only human hair curly pieces.

I’ve never heard them called Bora Bora braids… I thought you were doing your hair to GO to Bora Bora 😅
😂😂😂 apparently that’s when you add so many that you can’t see the braids. With boho you should still see the braids

You made this look so simple and it looks amazing! Like I’m really tempted to set a weekend aside and try this myself. It be the parting that gets me though 😭 I might start off strong but after a while I lose my patience and be over it. Can you give us a maintenance update please?

This hairstyle only lasted one week on me. Maybe because I have 4c hair, and I sweat a lot at the gym. My braids got super frizzy and my hair reverted back to its natural state even with them being tied down. I think I will stick to adding synthetic hair. Thankfully, I was able to reuse the human hair.
I would love to see photos of your hair. Plaits are specifically designed for type 4 hair and I know for a fact they last more than a week. Did you install them yourself?
@KimberlyCherrell Yes they diffently could have lasted for more than a week. And yes, I did them myself. Regular braids only last a good 4 weeks due to my active lifestyle.

I did goddess braids with curly human hair and had the same experience. Horrible knotted mess by week 3. I’ve experimented and have realized the issue is the curly hair. It doesn’t hold up well with braids. I did the same style w Kinky straight and wore my braids for 2 months. High maintenance but beautiful. I’ll be watching to see how these last in the next 4 weeks or so too
My horrible previous experiences with this style is why I came up with this method. Im a month in and I’ve washed it twice. Super low maintenance with this hair and install.

Mermaid braids are just bora bora braids but with straightened synthetic hair. I have 3 full

Use a rat tail comb and unknot it but if you tie the knot past your natural hair you won’t cut it.
