Thank you for making this video. I am tired of naysayers talking bad about greasing the scalp. I grease my blowdried and silk press hair once a week. I have never seen the so called natural sebum that's supposed to come from the scalp. I love the way grease conditions my hair and keeps it from reverting. Not only that, I don't need a ton of products to moisturize and maintain my hair. Your hair is proof that grease works on our hair. 😊

“The so called natural sebum” 🤨 Sebum is not a fairytale, it’s very real…Dependin’ on the person it may take more than at least 4 washes, and no grease nor other products on the scalp in order to see the sebum produce.

The thing I like most about grease is it works for both straight and coily hairstyles. It keeps my hair from reverting when in stretched styles and it works to define my coils for wash n gos and other coily styles.

I’m a natural hair content creator. I swear by grease. It has helped me retain length for three years. It doesn’t seem to be very popular among naturals in the natural hair community. Many naturals advocate for curling creams, gels, and a surplus of other products. I, however, only use two products: leave-in conditioner and grease.
I apply grease to my hair prior to blow drying because it acts as a heat protectant. I apply it on my scalp, too. I use Softee, Dax, and/or Blue Magic. I rarely see Black men use hair grease on CZcams. It’s very refreshing to see someone appreciate and use hair grease.

@@omgdanya It works and has multiple benefits. People say, for example, that it clogs the pores, but it keeps my scalp healthy and dandruff-free. It is truly the best product. I only use leave-in conditioner and grease. I’ve even used Vaseline before to get a nice twist out.
Each person’s natural hair care journey is unique to them. We should use what works best for us and what is most compatible with our hair.

I have extremely oily scalp a week after my silk press and if I go 3 weeks without washing it looks like it got soaked in oil I literally squeeze it and theirs oil coating my hands. If I scratch my scalp it’s literally this orange yellow paste sitting there unless I brush my scalp. It’s been that way since I was a kid. I tried grease once and it didn’t help because my hair is more on the oily side. My press realistically lasts for 1 week and 5 days but I push it and wear it in a claw clip lol. Putting oil on top of a dry scalp isn’t going to add hydration. Only water can do that. Have you ever considered washing your hair more often to get more moisture on your hair and scalp?

Now the real problem is people who are viewing her videos thinking what she does will work for them, because they haven't invested the time in learning there own her and may just be jumping from video to video. Some people can do anything to there hair and there hair will just grow it's just genetic, where there hair will grow no matter what they do to it because it's not as fragile. As for me i only put grease on the length of my hair. I use a leave-in spray or curl cream followed with the grease. My scalp doesn't like oils or grease it gets irritated and inflammation. And i can't use butters because it doesn't asorb into my fine strands. One would have to get a good natural hairstylist, dermatologist, and yourself to truly studied your own hair and stop looking at what other folks do.
