this seems good, but i wish there were options for the amount of characters. so, instead of artifact tracking, it would be character tracking - and on each character, you select if your piece is good, bad, or mid. that means that for example if you need 3 sets of shimenawa with crit, you might only have ONE set that's good, and this needs to be tracked properly so you don't assume they're ALL good
Easy fix is to copy the set tracker 3 times or add more colors for select boxes, one for each amount considered good.
I made my own Excell sheet for my own characters, it's not as pretty but it tracks every artifact set, main stat and substat of each character for each artifact also it includes the burst cost and notes for special considerations like scaling bonuses like Nahida needing 800 EM.
This looks like a great tool! Thank you for providing it! I'll definitely give it a shot since I'm in artifact hell right now and I have a glut of crappy artifacts that I could probably fodder but sifting through all my artifacts is such a chore.
I just want them to add HSR's mark as trash feature so I can get organized then

Great tool! While I'm not a hoarder (have like 300 artifacts but AR 60) the one set I hoard is emblem. Cause I am investing heavily into my raiden I've ended up with so many spare emblem pieces. Would be usefull if all my sets were like this.

I appreciate that you have done this and offered it to everyone, but it is ultimately useless to me because I do not reassign artifacts. If I have 4 characters who want EoSF, then I acquire 4 of each. This sheet assumes that you only need a single copy of anything because you're going to swap them around between all your characters. I personally want my characters to be plug-and-play rather than spending 30 minutes hunting through menus before each Spiral Abyss run. (Which is why I'm sick of hearing people complain about artifact loadouts when someone who operates within this paradigm obviously would love to eliminate those 30 minutes.)
I think having a separate page in the same sheets document to show artifacts on each character as the same kind of grading would be nice. Have one drop down to show the importance of the character, then maybe one or two for each artifact slot to show if you have it, then extra space if they might need multiple sets (which is the thing that Hoyo really needs to get loadouts for) since for example, it might be a cryo character that has a freeze build and a melt build depending on how you want to use them. Maybe even include a line for weapons

I'm a little confused. Is this just to keep a reminder of what stats you want to see in each set? If so I think sharing a filled in version would be even more helpful
I don't think I'd go through all the trouble of setting this up, but I think it's great that you made it and are sharing it. I'm already suffering from being too lazy about artifacts, so this is a bit of a high barrier of entry for me lol. I am also a lvl 0 artifact hoarder, and I keep having to purge my inventory cause I overcap. What I've been doing lately is just leveling tons of artifacts to +3 with my fodder to get rid of it, then I can do the +4 thing when I'm feeling motivated and lucky lol. This video does remind me that I should go back and update my profile on the Genshin optimizer though, I have a bunch of new characters and artifacts since last I used it so I might be able to squeeze some more power out of my DPS chars.
Looks pretty but this is so very much effort for so little gain. What is the power% difference between perfect main stats on the correct set but random trash subs vs perfect sub stats? like 10% more overall power? And you were able to easily 36* with the first set so why min max that hard?
Trash subs are definitely 20-30% worse. Basically R1 signature vs R5, but it costs resin instead of primos
Artifact subs account for much more than 10% more overall power if by power you are just looking at dps.
TLDR, you might see something like a 40% damage increase from artifact substats. (But this is very rough. It could vary up or down quite a bit.) Of course whether its worthwhile is still completely up to you. (People very frequently neglect things like an hp substat roll on a character who's damage scales with attack for example.) But I just wanted to give some more context when I saw that 10% number.
The amount of damage increase you get from an additional substat roll will of course vary with the character, their gear, the team, the ER requirement (missing vs getting a burst can be big), etc. But as a general rule around KQMS investment level, additional substat rolls into an important stat for your character are about a 2% dmg increase.
The total amount of substats rolls is typically 40-45 because each lvl 20 arti gets 8-9 rolls (depending on if it started with 3 or 4 subs) and you can have 5 artifacts at once. There's 10 different possible substat types. If the rolls are evenly distributed that's a little over 4 useful rolls into each stat on average. If 4 of the 10 stats are useful for your character, then you've got 16 useful substat rolls to start with. You of course can't move every substat roll into a useful one because a substat can't give the same stat as a mainstat. But people that spend a lot of time farming artis (months of spending all resin on a specific domain) do reach things like 36+ useful substat rolls. KQMS is 20 substats randomly distributed and 20 that you pick, so its about the middle of the range. So using the 2% per substat roll should be ok. From 16 to 36 is an additiona 20 rolls, which is where the 40% number comes from.

My real question is why are people even bothering. I play the game daily but haven't spent resin in like 6 months. Everything dies with a fucking sniff and i'm not even a whale...

0:01 in, and I'm seeing multiple 5* weapons upgraded but not refined.. asking honestly, why do you guys do that?? ain't it better to R5 the 5* weapons instead of wasting x6 the resources upgrading 6 weapons separately??
so they dont have to pass a weapon around and make gearing annoying. refining a 5* weapon has marginal benefits anyway. i personally refine but i can see the benefit
It depends on if you want one character to be stronger or multiple. And partially if you want to swap weapons between characters every time you swap teams. Like if you wanted to have Staff of Homa on both Hu Tao and Zhongli, you might use them both in the same team at the same time. so you would want more than one. And if you add in someone else who wants it like possibly Xiao or Thoma, you have to swap it every time you swap teams or characters, which might get forgotten. So, basically, it depends on what your priority is. You can focus on making one character better, or making things smoother to play others
