When a sponsorship seems too perfect, I wonder if the reason it never happens is because there's already so much overlap that they're unlikely to reach a new audience working with you. It's likely that fans of yours are already fans of the brand and vice versa. Like, peanut butter doesn't need a jelly sponsorship. No need to spend resources on something that'll happen organically or thanks to some algorithm.

Like Rhett, I really hope I’m wrong about this… but I think the sponsorship he wants real badly is Ben & Jerrys! I have heard them mention it a few times on the show and it just makes so much sense to me! Ben, Jerry… if you’re reading this, I would 100% buy a pint (or multiple pints) inspired by these guys/their show. Slap their faces on a weird flavor and I’m sold!

There is something special about learning about a stranger and knowing you may never see them again. It's exciting, new, challenging and can really teach you about other people. I recommend you guys keep working at it! Especially when strangers start to talk to you out of nowhere. That means that they are feeling pulled to you. Maybe it's your energy, your aura, you presence. Being magnetic is a blessing and a curse and I think you two have that quality.

They compared frozen pizzas and I'm a diehard Red Baron pizza guy, I've tried ro many and it's easily my favorite. They shit all over it, like royally dogged em. I thought it was too funny, but it effected my spending habits in zero ways.

I have seen people say it is because they are in a contract but I haven't heard that from anything official.
Ive also heard that the better help scandal shit was years ago and theyve kinda tried to rebrand but at the same time its hard for me to see how any version of mental health support is wholly a bad thing. like we need as much of that as possible lol.
@@tmoney8084 there are more scandals since then, especially recently (there are videos on it), sure there's probably a couple okay counsellors on there, but a lot of them arent professional and its basically just a scam for your money, with a risk of making your mental health worse

I have to agree so strongly with the idea of knowing someone in the place that you are visiting! My dad has made tons of connections and friendships in Vietnam, so when I visited, my trip was so much more enjoyable. I had friends to show me good places to go and I’ve been taught important things about the language and culture that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. If you’re ever visiting Vietnam, it’s one of the easiest places to make new friends, and it’s so amazingly safe. I actually miss it there so much.
Regarding talking to strangers: I feel that every interaction we have with others should be positive. That's why when dealing with people who are working (cashiers, bank tellers, restaurant employees, etc.) I try to say something to make them smile. I know, pretty simplistic but all it takes is saying something like "I hope everyone is nice to you today" goes a long way in making that person feel appreciated, my opinion of course. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents! Love the show, love the interaction between you two and Jenna. Love GMM!!
I'm like Jenna - people come up to me. Often they ask me things, directions and such. In a store one time I got someone's life story about why they were an advocate for animals. It's always something different but fun!
Lol that happens to my mom too, but they always share their woes to her 😂 and she works at a hospital so it happens a lot
It is true that Jenna is approachable. Random people will literally just start talking to her & she will answer. I literally saw this with my own two eyes.
In LA, waiting outside in line to get into GMM Live!, I saw Jenna backstage. Some random passerby asked her, through the fence, "what is this place?" & she explained "it's a concert hall & there's a show tonight." As someone who doesn't "talk to strangers," walking away, I thought, "She is so nice & sweet, being so open." (Other people might not be.)
I'm glad she has had so many positive experiences being open to strangers. Meanwhile, I'm solo and keep it that way because of past experiences, similar to her bar story, that have made me closed off and not want to be approached. (I don't think it helps that my parents raised me with the mentality "don't talk to strangers" and then the strangers proved that to be true.) (However; being in line for GMM with other fans with similiar interests & goals, I am open to chatting with line "buddies.")
(I also saw Davin, V, and McKayla. I could have said hi, but "I don't talk to strangers," even ones I "know" from the internet. (& I made the excuse for myself that I didn't want to interrupt their night out watching their boss' show). The person sitting next to me saw Matt & Jordan in the lobby & got pictures. I thought "could never be me," to get up the courage to approach strangers, even ones I "know" from the internet. 🤣🤣🤣)
I think it is very admirable to see someone like Rhett, who has such a large influence, who could very well be categorized as a celebrity, to speak about his impact on smaller brands and how he consciously thinks about his words and actions and their effects. It’s very nice to see that he genuinely puts thought into these kinds of topics and actually cares about it.

Yes, Link - I absolutely watch EB, GMM, MK, etc etc as a way to avoid my real life problems. 😎 And Link is not only liked, he’s a favorite of many of us! I had a dream last week after seeing Good Mythical Tour in Nashville that I met Rhett and Link. And while I was talking to Rhett before Link came over, I admitted that while I like him (Rhett), Link is my favorite. Rhett’s reaction was “Yeah, I get that a lot.” 😂

Yeah sometimes it really nice talking to strangers. This wasn’t mentioned but I also think you can gain a lot of perspective from strangers that you might not have had before. Like a different view on a circumstance. Its cathartic also sometimes when you meet someone and share something personal with someone who you may never see again its like i can just be me cause it doesn’t matter really.

According (I just watched Dr. K talk about this), repeated "neutral" interactions with strangers help people with rejection sensitivity or social anxiety because it's like doing exposure therapy which challenges their expectation/assumption that they won't be liked or that they'll somehow ruin a relationship somehow ("eggshells" feeling)
While I value yall's food opinions, and maybe I'm more likely to try something that you guys enjoy, I don't take the negative for anything other than entertainment.
I mean, I ate Jimmy Johns the same day Link shit all over them (my meat and cheese was evenly distributed, btw), and Mike's was pretty close by.
I think that you guys actually impact more in positive sales. Using me as an example; if you guys say something is good, that I have never tried; it makes me want to try that product.

i’m pretty sure the biggest part of it is the distanced term of “strangers”, it is really separating yourself from other human beings who have lives as rich and complex as your own. its the human experience and having a healthy perspective on your role on this earth. i really think it’s a bad approach to think about what you get out of it, it really needs to come from a genuine place, that’s where the enrichment comes from yanno
