In this My Last Vlog of 2423, we'll go shopping for vintage and antiques at one of Indiana's largest antique malls, Exit 76 Antique Mall. While it's a very large mall, I didn't find a whole lot. You'll see what I bought in my haul. I also share my recent sales on Ebay and Virtual Antique Marketplace.

I remember my dad using the McDonalds coffee stirrers in the 1970s for his coffee when we would go on road trips..We used to love to go to Service Merchandise after me and my husband got married. He used to take me there and treat me to a piece of jewelry every anniversary and for my birthday..

When my mom would go to the local grocery store they had those shopping baskets on that holder. The clerks would be behind the counter with long grabbers. You told them what you wanted and they would get it down from shelves for you. A couple of times a week my mom would walk to the main street to the grocery, the drug store, produce store, and butcher. Milk and bread were delivered. A trip to the supermarket was only a once in a while thing because it was a long walk. The local stores were only a block and a half. This was late 50s early 60s in NE Philadelphia not a small town. My dad had the car to get to work so walk we did. Thanks for the memories.

My husband worked at Service Merchandise in 1984! What a kick to see that catalog! 😂
Yes - there is a difference between jam and jelly. My dad used to say "It must be jelly 'cos jam don't shake like that!" wow I had forgotten all about Service Merchandise. We used to go there quite often.
My mother explained to me that jelly is clear (but flavored and colored) and gelatinous, and you don't ever stir it, to maintain its integrity. Jam has cooked fruit in it and is not transparent.
Yes, jelly is made from just the juice and jam is made from mashed fruit.

Ooohhh...when you showed the plush poodle eyes I got such a rush of nostalgia!! My grandfather owned a carnival and when I was little was allowed to pick any plush I wanted and I picked a large blue poodle. Something about those eyes just gave me a rush of happiness.😊
I had a LG plush poodle that I loved I had it forever Slept with it every night . It was also blue

My grandparents had a plastic poodle open in the back and it was to hold the toilet brush 😅my older sister was terrified of it when we were little I liked it and would like one now to hold the nasty brush!!! I was little but a tough cookie but I was afraid of any bug, worm, spider or lizard and I am still afraid of snakes, we traveled from Ontario Canada to , Florida 3 times and camped and hiked up north here I was terrified of I saw a snake sign especially down south, I don't think we have any
poisonous snakes up here but we have plenty of bears wolves and coyotes and way up north we have polar Bears, you can't chase those away like Black bear or a grizzly bear they will just eat you!
I was pretty shocked when you said you only had 38,000 subs. Should be more than that. You put in a lot of effort. I actually miss seeing the fur babies and Mark. Have a great New Year.

Hahaha we were in an antique store in Bisbee, AZ. I saw sewing Susan and commented "ugh, Susan", my hunkband was like who are you talking about? I said, Misty's nemesis 😂. He rolled his eyes 🙄 hahahaha

I have been DYING to go to Exit 76 lately… but having a 1st grader, we all got the flu then immediately followed up with Covid🙃 I feel like I havent been in an antique mall for 20 years
I noticed last time I was at Exit 76 there was a lot of empty booths and also a lot of newer stuff too. I always look at the entire mall and always end up buying from the same vendor just by chance. (she has a few booths and a case) - She has such good items and super good prices!!

If you get up to Northwest Indiana, Highland has the "American Antique Mall," it does have some vintage inspired and crafted items as well as vintage and antiques. It is fairly large, though. Then, if it is during the day, you can also go to Michael's consignment and another Resale store b8th on Highway Avenue in Highland.
Love that Jadeite Drippings jar - $45 is a great price!
I think the Drippings jar was a repro. The type face was off.

the difference between jam and jelly is that jam has grape skins in it and jelly doesn't.
I had a similar experience at I-76 the last time I was there, didnt even get enough footage for a video because there was so much less vintage and antiques to talk about. I didnt buy anything either 😢
