Jesus is depicted alone, in a perfect equilateral triangle, which enhances his solitude, surrounded by figures showing surprise, anger or stupefaction. Each figure is the result of an exhaustive anatomical study. Each character is unique, as well as its reaction.

Any painting that's commissioned on a piece of history and to which the Artist has not lived through allows the Artist to base his work from his own mental Perception of that past time period.
Da Vinci used in his paintings, his own interpretation, through perspective of presumptions, to recreate historical scenes that either satisfy's his own narrative or to satisfy the one who has commissioned the painting.

The whole thing about the last supper was JESUS giving the "sop" to Judas so who is responsible for Judas betraying JESUS?
What I find most interesting is this painting was done in a convent. Obviously, all women. Maybe this was the artist''s way of honoring them by putting both Mary and Martha in. The popularity of the painting might have caused the Church to say that they were men. Persecution of women was quite popular at that time. It is hard to ignore that one side of the table reacts with dismay while the other tries to comfort the woman on the right of Jesus.
It is not a convent of women but a priory of Dominican friars. The painting was for the refectory, the dining hall of the friars.
@@litozulueta6013 Indeed! And also, that figure next to Christ is not a woman, as popularized by Dan Brown's conspiracy theory. It was in fact John, the disciple whom Jesus loved a lot. Additionally, there is no evidence of any, that in Leonardo's time women were persecuted just because of their gender; women who were taught be witches were hunted down but for religious reasons and superstition...

I don't know if I'm noticing the small things which is probably insignificant BUT BREAD AT THE LAST SUPPER wasn't it ALSO the Passover no leavened bread must be found in the Jews possession at this time.

EXPLAIN WHY THE LAST SUPPER SUPPOSE TO BE 12 APOSTLES. BUT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE 2 FEMALES ON EACH SIDE OF THE CHRIST. ONE STANDING (MOTHER MARY) AND ONE SITTING(MAGDALINA YOUNG GIRL), ALL THE REST HAVE BEARDS. AND WHY DOESNT THE FAKE SALVADOR MUNDI NOT HAVE A HALO TO BE RECOGNIZED FROM MEER MORTALS?

His notes clearly named each of the people in the painting. However it is correct two appear to be female. I personally believe there is meaning to this….
But I am not sure what.
I have used works of Leonardo to "cross" check where we are in prophetic times. Leonardo was "in service ' to "the chruch' meaning he didn't have much choice . After they framed him for sodomy and homosexuality. He hid "truths" in his artwork and sketches. THE LAST SUPPER is no different and should be called "THE CONDEMNATION OF JESUS". When looking at the painting we see Jesus clothed in red representing the Devil. Blue is the color known to represent people who followed YAHWEH's LAWS. Jesus was opposed to YAHWEH the Creator and GOD of the " old testament" A simple reading of the scriptures makes this clear. Jesus eyes are looking down in response to John"s inquiry that says "I thought you were going to join "THE FATHER" Jesus being a product of the Devil was a great deceiver just as Satan is known to be. So the "father Jesus is going to join is actually the Devil!!! Jesus worked to deceive people into following and worshipping him instead of YAHWEH!!!You will notice Judas dressed in blue and the commands of the Torah teaches us to kill those that come in the name fo the father and try and get you to worship anything exept YAHWEH!!!
You actually got it wrong Jesus is the bridge to the father Yahweh not Yahweh because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God he said I have come to do what is written of me to do the father's will read Isaiah 53:1-ff he came that you and I may be apart of the kingdom of God ,listen God loves Jesus because he profiled the father's will . a will is profilled when the one who proposed it dies, Jesus had to die such that the will of God may be fulfilled in us who are not born of flesh but the spirit
