I’ve been saying that DJT brought this on himself in so many ways, not just spewing constant hatred and violence, but by insisting on outdoor venues for his rallies in scorching heat (likely because he didn’t pay indoor venues so they don’t want him, and he’s a cheap arse doesn’t want to pay for anything). Also by insisting on these last minute so that planning is curtailed. He was repeatedly warned that outdoor venues were too risky, but insisted anyway. Recall J6, he asked that magnetometers be turned off, as his MAGAts weren’t there to hurt *him*. Sounds like he convinced himself to believe his BS! Couldn’t have happened to a better guy! 😂

Secret Service are not there to protect the crowd.
200' to 300' distance is half a block. Secret Service were not assigned to that area. Locals were assigned to the outer perimeter.
I believe the Secret Service has the responsibility to protect the rally site and the parking lot, but it is up to the campaign to pay for security outside of those areas and Trump’s using all that money for his legal and not spending it on the rally site security.
