Shout out to anyone who's bought a "symbol" off Marketplace.
Hahaha, I love those listings.
Cymbal
I always miss out on symbols,or...their trashy
Mike, that as such a fun video that I could certainly relate to it, as I pieced out an old 1966 Ludwig drum set that didn’t have a bass drum with it. There were 2 rack toms, a floor tom, and a snare. There as also a foot pedal for the missing bass drum.
This set as a similar situation where the owner just wanted it out. My total income was just over $1100.00 from eBay.
Thanks for sharing your exciting drum story with us.
Or a drum petal...🥀
I laughed so hard with the rain stick scene. I cannot imagine the delivery guy carrying that hahahaha. Well done with the sales. Keep it up with the content Mike :)
My favorite moment.
Your videos are awesome, Mike, and always a joy to watch! So well done!
Thank you!
$1,449.51... time for some new drum/sound/light goodies! ;-) Well done!
Not bad!
I did something similar back in 2021 and it was a great feeling!
I feel like I've had a few opportunities like this, and it's always a nice chance to turn around some profit quickly. Glad I was able to document it this time.
😂 the bud light ice bucket. Hope you line it with a plastic bag next time.
Yeah, I was gonna ask if business is still being done on craigs, but then heard your commentary; I agree, it's _s3emed_ janky for awhile now over there....
I'm sure the Bud Light drum shell composition isn't too badly altered.
How cool was it seeing Cindy Blackman Santana on Monday night football last night! They even showed her in the crowd. Very cool.
Troy and Buck liked her.
Who?
This is awesome! I actually have the budlight tom drum and use it as a trashcan! I hope to one day grow my collection and have one like yours. Ive been scavaging around sites looking for some deals but where im from there are not many drummers so Im still rocking with my pearl roadshow.
Keep ya eyes peeled!
great video! i have so much small stuff i should sell but like you illuded to, it's time consuming. a lot of extra hardware i get i usually end up selling to other drum shops to resell rather than meeting up with a bunch of people for a stand here and there. thing that sucks about reverb and those sites now is the 1099 at the end of the year...keep hustling!
Yeah, it’s tedious and sometimes it’s easier to unload a bunch of little things at one time to a music store and loose a little return on investment opportunity.
Love the Bud Light tom!
Thanks! That was a fun part of the video
I bet the delivery guy freaks out over not know the rain stick is in the box.
It certainly is a hilarious interaction I imagine.
Cool video Mike. I like the Bud light tom with the ice and beer.
🍻🍻🍻
Nice score.
I think so too!
Love your videos! I also love flipping drums and percussion instruments as a side hustle. Enjoy tour insight on music and gigging in general!!
Appreciate the support!
Nice haul Mike 😀
Thanks!
Great video and nice job on turning all that stuff around. That music loop was driving me crazy tho!
Yeah, I've been recording those loops forever, but now that my videos are getting longer, I might need to start mixing up more loops on videos. Not the first one to have that comment.
@@malonedrumThey are not good. They are boring. They are irritating.
Encouraging. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
Great video.
Thanks!
Not bad at all for the time and small investment on your end. I once did a tv show gig with a cocktail kit. It was fun, but after a day or so I got a weird kink in my hip from the not so ergonomic way of playing those kicks standing up.
I’d never tried one, so that was cool, but much the cajon, I have no interest in getting one to keep.
Should’ve turned the bud light one into a bbq pit
Is a wood bbq pit realistic?
I'm pretty sure I almost bought that drum dial.
You could have been part of the video!
In my 36 of playing never had a chance to meet someone who would give me 1000 dollars worth equipment for free
I don’t think there’s any level of experience playing music that will grant you these kind of opportunities. Gear and buying/selling is a totally different side of the music sphere.
What are you gonna buy for that good man for his generosity?!
Considering buying gear got him into the problem in the first place, probably nothing drum related.
@@malonedrum haha, indeed! Nice score! ;)
Should have kept the RotoToms!
Next time.
You could've used some real bear at least ;)
Don't hate on Bud Light, they make drums!
Do you know much about the wood Ludwig piccolo snare? I bought one in a thrift store and like it but don’t know much about it.
It’s a student model that was standard issue with a lot of bell sets. It has some worth, but nothing like acros or supras. Although maybe in 20-30 more years.
Shoot, I'd have given you $80 for the rotos!
If I get a set again lol....
What cymbals are you sitting on ?
I kept the older Zildjian ping ride and 22” ride.
Wish someone would call me with free drum equipment. TAMA or Pearl preferred.
My preference is clearly the Bud Light promotional style.
@@malonedrum I found an old Pearl Forum tom that I'm using as storage for my extra drum parts.
Sorry dude, but I don't like that typical American greedy behavior. I would honor the guy who gave me all this stuff with at least $500. In my country it's called honesty. Ah, and finally, all that beer just for you. Nice.
I figured I’d get some responses like this, and let me assure you, I absolutely made sure the person who reached out to me asking me to take this was comfortable with me selling it, and I was really doing a favor by taking it off his hands. I’ve done hauls like this before where we did work out a deal for the owner to get some return, but he was clear I could keep all of it here.
@@malonedrum OK. I understand. Thank you for the response. Cheers.
"Flipping". On houses or anything else, seems kinda shitty and dishonest.
Why?
