Finally went to LCA for the first time to see the Wings last October. Not being in Detroit, or up on the local news, I foolishly expected an area similar to those renderings we saw so long ago. When I got there, its a lone arena with construction barriers seemingly on all sides with nothing around it to do or see. Very disappointing. The arena itself is fine, good enough, but I was amazed at how barren the area around the arena is.

Detroit City Council bares 100% responsibility! They have Lawyers to ensure the deal is put in writing, without any wiggle room. Politicians may be parasites, but they're not idiots when it comes to getting a kickback or political favors for themselves under the table.
