- It was recently announced at Warner Bros. Discovery's Upfront that starting this fall, Cartoon Network will be signing off to Adult Swim at 6pm. What does this mean for the future of Cartoon Network?

@@catpin Same but I’m pretty sure that the WGA Strike will fix that problem, so Adult Swim will be signing in back at 8pm or 9pm while Cartoonito will be signing out at 12pm or 2pm during the weekdays, if the WGA had been failed to fight against WBD and Zaslav then we should boycott or strike against them ourselves

All they air is Teen Titans Go most of the time anyways. At least adults swim airs more shows. I think splitting airtime network 50-50 is a benefit.
If this means more young adult action shows then I honestly I see nothing wrong with this choice. Putting good show on CN won’t change anything.
Factual. A lot of old-school Cartoon Network shows would’ve been amazing on adult swim. I’m kind of happy with this change

Just face it, Adult Swim should have her own channel to run 24/7 and Cartoon Network would run 24/7 again like she did a long time ago before Adult Swim was launched.

Stuff like this is why I’m bless and grateful of the shows that we grew up with over the years when they don’t end early on a regular basis way before discovery came along😅. For total drama I have watched the episodes by switching to Discovery+ on a different country foreign access. Cartoon Network for past 2 weeks they have been showing older shows like imaginary friends and Knd so they are still loyal to who’s still watching the channel even though people don’t watch cable that much as they use to. Also we are still getting new contents like New Gumball Season 7, iyanu even new Ben 10 that’s actually in development.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Make Adult Swim a channel in the USA. Adult Swim is already a channel in Canada and it's not on Cartoon Network in Canada, Latin America and The UK. I know kids don't watch cable anymore but that is no excuse. This makes me happy I don't have cable anymore, please make Cartoon Network 24 hours again in the USA. It would be much better than an expanded Adult Swim instead of giving Adult Swim it's own channel.
It's strange how people are begging [adult swim] to get It's own channel when cable tv is phasing out and streaming has already reached at a high demand.

Well it seems like they're focusing on Cartoon Network internationally because outside the U.S. People are watching cable TV more.
Eh man it seems like Cartoon U.S is on its last legs tbh. Like I've said repeatedly Christina Miller started this downfall and it has never recovered from it.
I'll say it again and again but that 21st Century FOX and Time Warner Merger could've saved Cartoon Network. The ips, structure, and the plethora of animation studios that FOX would've given to the channel would have been amazing. It's likely the channel could be on top of the world in some alternate universe. But alas it didn't happen and now Cartoon Network is looking like it will shut down soon. ☹️
I see the only solution to this is to separate Adult Swim and Cartoonito and relaunch them as two separate channels

Because viewers watch Adult Swim tyan Cartoon Network, WBD wanted to move up Adult Swim to 6pm rather than 7pm, just drive in more viewers, plus American Dad will also lead the block, that's what a website news article said, this was part of the Warner Bros Discovery Upfront.
If that's true that more people watch Adult Swim, make it it's own channel. The channel would make more money.
Cartoonito and Adult Swim literally have more priority than Cartoon Network on its own channel. Eesh.

Disney Channel has really pushed to expand their Animated Catalog and has seen 3 New Shows Premiere in the first Half of 2023 Already. With WAY More coming. **SIGH**
I hope she cares about Disney xd, Disney Playhouse, Disney Toon, Jetix, and Disney Junior more, so that it can gain great confidence from the public, and I hope that this will happen to Network and Nick

I’m starting to think Warner bros discovery loves more adult orientation animation instead of kid and family orientation😅especially aiming for more preschool contents. Look we can’t give up on this even Cartoon Network loses an hour, that doesn’t mean that CN is dead or dying, Michael Oulweleen is the president of both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, we got at the least have faith in him
for those of you who are thinking CN is in trouble, rest assured adult swin is just trying to expand its adult notation.
Some see this as a "good thing" but I fail to see anything positive in AS gaining more ground on the network, especially when preteen viewers won't have enough time in the schedule to watch new shows in THEIR age gap

that’s just sad about the live action powerpuff girls show being cancelled I was really looking forward to it, I hope that the animated powerpuff girls reboot is still happening because it’s been a year since it was announced.
This is where I'm already going to stop carrying for Cartoon Network and just fully adapt to [adult swim]. The rumors about [adult swim jr] are soon to become a reality.
They had to announce the launch of the Adult Swim brand as an independent channel, not an evening segment that broadcasts for specific hours, and the same thing is repeated with Cartoonito.
And to bring back two old brands, i tickle, aimed at pre-school age, and the other for adults, called miguzi, in order for the situation to be better, provided that it broadcasts for 4 hours to ensure sufficient time for the company’s offers

This is just becoming annoying now, I remember from 2014-2019, they would have a full weeknight of premieres starting from 5 or 6pm to 8, 9 or 10pm. I remember tuning into them every night when I was little. Cartoon Network ending at 6pm is just stupid. I remember every block that aired during that time period like fresh new Thursday, new titans Thursday, yours day, new new new new and more.

Sometimes I think this works because 12 hours of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim might be a good thing, but there's a chance if they are separate channels for them.

For the past 6-7 years what has cartoon network had beside low budget comedies and gumball ? A transformers show and a bakugan show that rarely aired ? Steven universe aired inconsistently and wasnt all that of a show. Ok ko and infinity train where short lived. Mao mao basically died . Nothing to look forward to besides 7 more ttg episodes
