The MC-125 professional studio boom stand's larger-diameter base and locking, rollerblade-style wheels provide a low center of gravity and extra stability. Smoothly raise or lower the height of the stand from 52" to 83" with a reliable quater-turn clutch. The long boom telescopes from 35" to 61" and features a friction-free clutch arm extension. @1:51 clutch mechanism is not built to the "tank armor" standard that the rest of this stand is. Too much plastic, too small. That needs to be re-designed, re-engineered before I buy another one. My first failed at this point, after only 7 months of use. If this thing had a heavy duty pivot like the SB36 Atlas, they'd have a winner.

Agreed entirely. I have four of these stands, and the hub of everyone of them has failed within a year of purchase. It doesn't matter how solid the rest of the stand is, if the hub fails its useless !
this mic stand is ok kinda overpriced didnt last very long before breaking the arm hub broke looked it up their know for breaking called customer service they are terrible customer support wouldnt recomend to buy the arm hub broke off almost dropping my microphone
