Spoilers but in the first game killing the dragon isn't the end of the game its basically like a 75% point I'm pretty sure this game works the same way which means u need to kill God become God which opens up a new game where u start the process again and eventually kill ur own previous character who is now God

You can delete your save everywhere then go offline and boot the game. That's what I did I was able to start a new character. It's dumb but do able

They think you're going to spend $ to remake your character. You *can* go into your save folder and manually delete, but you have to turn off cloud saves, then restart your game, then re-enable cloud saves, then overwrite the cloud...
Not that it justifies anything. This is an extremely disappointing game.

So I'm playing on a midget system haven't really had any issues yes there's new game plus know none of the micro-transactions really matter and you can get all of those things in game within the first 6 to 10 hours verified don't fall for the clickbait bro or the misinformation try things yourself first

If you just play the game you can get all the items.. you don’t need to buy anything. That’s on you for not having the attention span to complete it.

The ONLY negative I have is the game save cant be overwriten. The gameplay is amazing. The story so far has me hooked. Ive had zero issues. Im playing with FSR active.

Not the first dev to change your gameplay to make things harder then they should be so you dont wanna grind away those RCs and expend money, not to mention that if a lot of people buy this it could get worse, if they are testing the MTX waters so to speak they could use the whole Dark Arisen system of identifying itens through RCs and mess the drop rate so you will be pressed to buy RCs in the store.

@@yiprajosie085 I am playing and the book to edit is right there at the Pawn Legion shop for 500 RC which takes less than 10 minutes to gather and be bought multiple times , not to mention a free one half way through the game. A lot of games you unlock character edit, so this is the same concept, imagine.

So yes you can edit your character without paying actual cash.
Second on microtransactions.... these same micros happened over a decade ago on the original Dragons Dogma. Literally look at almost every other Capcom game it's literally a staple of them to sell useless shit that you can earn within a hour of playing.

while those problems are diferent, at least Dragon Dogma 2 did the same mistake on the 1st one, that is why that was gonna go happen because there is too many micro translations on it, the problem on Starfield was that it was like a Fallout 2.5 instead of a fallout 3 it was really bad that make a game and had less immersive as a game from the playstation 3 era , and that was the same thing Dragon Dogma 1 had on that game at the time, its something it deserve to be destroyed because they are too much greedy on bad things
Starfield is still an excuse of a game, with a ton of technological inferiority. This is also bad, AAA gaming is becoming bad in general.
personally speaking, my problem is they are charging for character edit. the 1st one had very bad mtx as well, but atleast i can edit my character.
also, starfield is just inherently bad, and that's why people are mad about it. dragon's dogma 2, on the other hand, is infuriating due to the fact that it's a good game, but the performance is absolutely trash with no fix in sight soon (will take a long time, IF they decide to actually work on it, as per their words), and this. this is compounded by the fact they made the conscious effort of bait-and-switching people by releasing a "character creator demo".

This is the first game I consciously did not preorder, and I am glad I didn't. I will wait for the "Dark Arisen" version with all the DLC and for it to be patched for performance.

The "dedicated" VRAM or RAM refers to the memory being used for the game itself. So, in this case, the game is using 10-11 GB of RAM and another 10-11 GB of VRAM.

Hey Alex when you went into the city the second time but in the night, the CPU bottleneck was not that prominent, I imagine it was because there were not many NPCs in the streets in the night, so apparently the NPCs are the culprits for the extreme CPU bottleneck.

the dickriding over the one save slot by capcom fanboys leading up to release was so annoying. yes i know the first one had only one save slot, and its was fucking annoying there too. i expect things to improve in sequels 15 years down the line. guranteed the only reason is because capcom wants to try and force people who share accounts to buy two seperate copies
To be fair it 100% wasn't capcoms idea for the one save thing. There's a story reason why u have one character and as this is basically a reboot the games director probably only would've made the game if he could do the same thing

Exactly. Toxically positive fanbase who defended everything about this game was exactly why I didn’t preorder. All the fanboys, even those replying to you are gonna ruin the franchise, like Bethesda fans ruined Elder scrolls and fallout, and CDpR fanboys ruined Cyberpunk, and BioWare fanboys ended up with Anthem, and Arkane fanboys ended up with redfall, and Xbox fanboys ended up with a soon to expire console. They defended the urine colored filter over everything saying it’s the original aesthetic. The trash stamina so your character couldn’t run for more than 100 meters, the mindless pawn prattle, the convoluted fast travel, the lack of mounts, the lack of multiplayer, lauded Itsuno like second coming of Miyazaki or Kojima or something. Itsuno ain’t no Kojima nor Miyazaki. He’s a hack charlatan with no talent who made a half made game in DD 1 and milked it to death with re releases like Todd Howard did with Skyrim. The fanbase instead of reminding Itsuno of this fact told him, “give us the SAME exact thing except more!!!” And now helped normalize these bad practices of releasing half finished 💩 with mxts in singleplayer games. The toxic fanbase deserved this 🗑️ running 24 fps and fast travel stones for a dollar. Ijits.
As a PC gamer, even taking the performance issues aside, the micro-transaction bull they're actively pulling is shocking. Capcom has always been somewhat dodgy but we never expected them to pull an EA or a Blizzard.

So I just checked and you only have one save slot AND you can't change your character's appearance without PAYING REAL MONEY even on the PS5.

No you can change your character appearance in game without spending real cash. I earned enough rift currency to do so after wandering down random trails for 3 hours.

@@naelmohammed9551 not playing on PS5. On PC get a solid and stable 60 fps in wildrness (I locked it) and get around 40 to lowest 34 in city's/town.
As for on save haven't been a problem made sure to frequently save at in so I don't lose too much if the auto tries to screw me.

There's two ingame item you can buy with rift coins to change your character. But a reviewer said they played for 60 hours and still have yet to found anymore. DD1in end game had an item called the Secret of Metamorphosis that gives infinite character edits but no one is yet to fund this in dd2
Then you have some guys saying they were playing for less than 10 hours and already have 3. So confusing.

The "only one save file" had me pretty turned off because I'm not a fan of it. Not even in Armored Core 6, where it really does not matter that much. But the fact that you are locked to one and can't even delete it to start over? Massive yikes. I heard that even if you finish the game, you can't start a new playthrough? That sounds wildly messed upp, if accurate.
I don’t mind cosmetics to be honest. It is what it is. When you put mechanics in the game in the store it’s like wtf. It means you planned it out so that it would be annoying enough for a person to consider it. Let’s you further know what they were planning the whole time.

I didn't pre-order the game and I was considering buying it, but the poor performance reported by other players, the fact that you can only have one character at a time, Denuvo and microtransactions, no way I'm wasting my money. These gaming companies will never learn, and what concerns me the most is that none of major reviews have mentioned any of these problems. This is what they should be talking about.

I refunded It inmediately too. The Game was crashing all the time in a high budget computer, couldnt even finish the tutorial, such a lame.

Correction, the explorers campsite and heartfelt pendant that are sold in MTX shop cannot be acquired any other way in game. The campsite is the best available and as of right now the pendent is very efficient but its unknown if it is the best/fully maxes out affinity.
Monster Hunter also sells one time vouchers to edit your character. Nothing new for Crapcom.

Wilds is looking more and more bleak as time goes on
You dont need the voucher unless you want to completely change the character, as in changing the gender. Your build is based on equipment so that is unnaffected. You can also make a new character and replay the game at any point. So, still bad, but far from what DD2 is doing. What I fear is that this is definitely a test to see how much monetization they can shove into Monster Hunter 6. I pray that DD2 will be a disaster in sales, but that is wishful thinking, I guess.

Normally in Western gaming, if people rally up and complain enough on social media then companies will be forced to make changes, especially if it affects the game's sales.

Yeah the complaining is just that by principle it’s the wrong direction gaming should go, especially for single player games. I personally didn’t notice them too much but I found the game pretty boring with a lack of love in the world creation and exploration. I got so bored of the small enemies in the same place I have to run by a million times. After level 20 it became just a chore to go through them and made me very bored. Inventory management was laughable, I stopped picking things up because I was already overpowered and didn’t need them and it was more of a pain transferring stuff between pawns and my house chest than it was worth it. Really disappointed with the playable aspect of the game, I have no idea how people can stomach doing a ng+ game hence enemies don’t even get harder lmao. What a waste of $70, I should have waited for it to hit ps store or drop to around $20-30

sorry your incorrect about the deleting of the save file... if you delete the save file you can start a new character! HOWEVER, your absolutely right a player should not need to delete their save game in order to reset their game and start fresh!!!
Thanks for the video! I was somewhat interested in this game, but I'm not going to look at it for at least a year until performance is (maybe) fixed and I can have more than 1 save slot IN A ROLE PLAYING GAME. The pricing is also scuffed in countries outside of the US. Here in Canada, most US$70 games price around CAD$92, but DDII is $95 and I heard in Australlia it's AUD$108. I'm done with paying $100 for games.
Pretty sure the devs know these micro transactions are next to useless and annoying. It's there just to tick a box of requirements for the shareholders.

The difference between this game and RE4 is that they are treating this like FF14's mogstation where as if you purchased anything besides a few skins in RE4 youd actually be nerfing every enemy in your first playthrough and essentially turning on rtarded baby mode for yourself which is unnecessary. That and RE4 IS ACTUALLY A GOOD PORT, So stop leaving that part out.
I really hope Capcom walk back these decisions with MTX and fix the issues ASAP because the game is great. It also really sucks that you can't start a new game if you end up not liking your choices.

My game ran so poorly and I have way above what they were asking. I also had missing ground and structures, i have never seen anything like it. Was so upset i just refunded
I prefer free fast Travelling from Elden Ring than carrying a dollar Crystal anyday.

There is a limit of 10 fast travel map markers that you can place. You can get all of them in game and need ferrystones to actually fast travel.
Player edit items can be gained in game for Rift stones.
Items to edit Pawn inclinations that are not random can also be gained in game with rift crystals.
I expected that this game would have terrible performance after hearing that consoles will have a 30fps cap with no performance mode.
For some games it makes more since for a 30fps on consoles like A Plague Tale Requiem. That is one of the most impressive looking games ever made in my opinion. Meanwhile Dragon's Dogma II, while having a good art style, looks like it could have been released around 2015-2016 in terms of its graphical fidelity. This game should have been delayed until the performance was better.
What's a real shame here are higher ups at Capcom ruining what could have been a GOTY contender with microtransactions and Denuvo DRM.

My only issue with the game is the optimization needing work and giving people more save slots if they so choose. You stating you have to spend $2.99 to edit your character's appearance is only a half-truth, because you can buy that same item in-game for cheap (500RC). No one is forcing you to spend the money if you just put a little bit of time in to get the RC to buy it, or if you don't want to put in the time, buy the 500RC item for like $0.99 as that's 1/3 the price for the same item. People need to do some research before talking or look at the previous game that had these same purchases. Should they exist? No. Does it ruin the game? No. The optimization does.
Over year of microtranactions backlash and Capcom still released this mess.

All those items can be accessed in the game. You don't HAVE to pay for any of it. The only thing i haven't found yet is the ring of assurance but i already have it and it doesn't do much.

You can change you and your Pawn with in game items. NONE of the mtx are needed.

Performance issues while definitely an issue for some on pc from what im seeing consoles are good so the majority is doin fine having fun. You say the mtx are implemented in a way which it forces ur hand if you make any mistakes thats not the case at all you can experience everything on 1 char with everything on the store available to farm hell even the camping kit they sell is not the best one in the game its a list of nonsense items capcom enforced on the devs for the people who want to skip some grinding which is the main complain for the yellow paint lovers they should be loving this shit and they are gonna buy the items. So I preordered this on PS5 and Best Buy dropped the ball and delivered my steelbook, but not the game. So I called them, cancelled it and got a refund.
