    FedEx driver here. Tell ya right now, here in Canada the virus has had zero impact on non essential consumer goods. If anything it ramped sales up. I run a residential route and volume has doubled and surpassed Christmas season volume.
    A huge spike in computer monitors, Lululemon, Wayfair, Ikea, and of course Amazon.

    Your best bet is to look at what is happening in France and Italy, Amazon has simply shut down every FBA listing that are in non-essential category on Amazon FR and Amazon IT. Meaning whether you have inventory or not, it will not be sold anymore on Amazon until better days arrives. Thats what could happen in the USA as well.

    Good news - got a message from AMZ about waiving whs fees for a couple of weeks which they used to serve essential products. On another note, we’ll have to maybe either leave delivered boxes untouched for several days to be sure they are clear, or handle them with great care and discard immediately... similar to groceries bought in local supermarket.

    Appreciate your realistic take on the situation. It's pretty crazy the toll this has taken on the economy and society in general.

    Amazon will not close. This could be a opportunity to get in since others are getting out.

    The NY strike sounds like it got snuffed out for now. Apparently they laid off the leader of the proposed walk out, but I guess who knows if that was enough. Thanks for the vid Matt - Hope you're well!

      Yeah, popped up an edit in the video about that, hadn't happened at the time of recording. Still, I could see it going this way at other warehouses potentially. As more and more cases come out, and if warehouse workers don't have any protection... Seeing the same issues in companies like InstaCart.

    Everybody Need products . Just
    a bad administration or control could do that.

    Hey Matt! Thanks for the great video! I have a question and can't find the answer anywhere... I've been doing a lot of product research, but recently (especially in the past week) the Jungle Scout chrome extension data seems completely off and weird... This is across many different markets, in various categories.... Top sellers are selling for ridiculously low prices, ranking seems unreal, JS Chrome data is zeroed out (likely because they're out of stock), there are so many new sellers it seems, the sellers who were once the top sellers are now lost in the mix (likely because many have run out of stock or because their sales have gone down due to changes in damand and inventory troubles)...
    I'm wondering what I can do in the mean time since I'm falling behind in my product research.
    Sorry for the lengthy question but I'd appreciate your input. You're the best!!!

    Awesome! I’ve been shorting AMZN for awhile now, I need it to hit the skids so I can get rich.

      How's it been so far? I haven't touched it. Been riding a ton of puts though (not AMZN)

      Matt Loberstein been doing the same thing but I’ve got 35 days it’s going to go down in that time. The financials are showing weakness so the monsters of tech are going to take a nose dive.

    • @MattLoberstein
      @MattLoberstein  Před 4 lety

      Yeah I was just less sure of AMZN compared to others. Since amz is so diversified

    At this point in time do you think it’s still a good opportunity to start FBA? Or should I put it on hold?

    • @MattLoberstein
      @MattLoberstein  Před 4 lety

      I would still start the process of researching/planning now.

      It literally says "could" and "what if" not "aMaZoN iS sHuTtiNg dOwNN!!11" Literally no idea how this could be construed as clickbait. I'm discussing what it would take for this to happen.

      @@MattLoberstein I'm just as confused as you by this comment too, Matt. Nothing "clickbaity" about this title at all. The title asks a question regarding what if Amazon were to close, and the video talks about just that... It's actually the total opposite of click bait...

    • @janussquared9793
      @janussquared9793 Před 4 lety

      But it won't Matt. You and other FBA'ers seem bored and post more frequently now that we're all locked up. Just my opinion.

      Look at the dates of my posts. Did 3 a week leading up to this, now being lazy with like 1 a week. Just look at it before you make stuff up.
