You are spot on everything. Incredible job. I'm 72 and I was a professional drummer touring with many different artists through the 70's. In 1972 I had the honor of backing up the temptations at the jazz festival in Cincinnati. Mel Brown was their regular drummer why he had to fly home escapes me. Eddie and Paul were gone by then. They were God given sweethearts to work with. I became a temptations freak after that I've got a collection of temptations stuff I've been collecting for 50 years . Also your narrative skills are fantastic , you put your listeners at ease. Great job.

Memories! My friend girl dated Dennis years ago and through her I met the "Tall Tantalizing Temptations". That's what they were called. They invited me and her to Atlantic City to a supper club one weekend ,as they were popular then, front row center and sent us champayne and I got strangled, too bubbly, lol Dennis always called me 'his little sister' and bought me a pair of gold earrings which I still have to this day. I'll never forget those times and they were fun and perfect gentlemen. All of the originals are gone now, except for Otis. This video made me teary. Thank you.

I think the right decision was made not renaming the group David Ruffin & the Temptations. Not taking anything away from David, he was an extremely talented dude. But the Temptations were a group of very good voices. True David's talent was what was missing, but he joined a group that had outstanding vocal harmony and supporting vocals from Eddie, Paul and Melvin. They all made each other better. The proof being David's solo career, not the same without them.

I worked at this building in the late 1980's cleaning offices in the evenings, so I worked with this young lady for a few months. She did one part of the huge building and I did the other part, so one night we were just talking about life and a lot of things and don't remember how we got on this subject, but we started talking about the temptations for some reason, and she told me that Dennis Edwards was her father!! And Dennis was always my favorite singer in the group, so I was shocked!!!! I said to her for real?? He's your father girl?? She said yes...I'll show you my birth certificate tomorrow....I said ok. And when I took a look at her, she really did resemble him a lot. She brought it and yes it stated that he's the father😅. I never forgot that night, she told me a lot that night about her life with him. Yes, I'll always remember her working with me. She was very nice and funny as well.😂

Dennis Edwards had formed The Temptations Revue and Paul Williams Jr was a part of that group singing the same parts as his dad did in the Original Temptations. I was in the meet and greet was able to talk to them Shake their hands and got a picture with them. I told Paul that he does his dad proud I'm sure and he looks just like his dad. He was very gracious and kind as were the rest of the guys. I have always loved The Temptations and their music.
