UPDATE: I have acquired a relevant ruling toward Independent Nightingale and Recital starling in Sanctuary in the Sky vs Majesty Hyperion. Majesty Hyperion causes a reflection in damage from fairies battles. "All battle damage you take from battles involving your Fairy monsters is also inflicted to your opponent. " Sanctuary in the Sky " "Battle damage to the controller of a Fairy monster from a battle involving that monster becomes 0." The ruling indicates that: The opponent DOES take damage!

Q: "The effect of The Sanctuary in the Sky, which causes battle damage to a battling Fairy monster's controller to become zero is applying. Additionally, my Majesty Hyperion's effect is also applying, causing my opponent to take any battle damage I take from battles involving my Fairy monsters.
In this situation, what happens if my Majesty Hyperion (Fairy / ATK 2100) battles my opponent's Attack Position monster (ATK 3000)?"
A: "In this case, the effect of Majesty Hyperion will cause the opponent to take 900 points of battle damage, and the effect of The Sanctuary in the Sky will cause the battle damage to controllers of Fairy monsters to become zero.
Therefore, if your opponent's monster is also a Fairy monster, both players will take no battle damage. If your opponent's monster is not a Fairy monster, only your opponent will take 900 damage."
Regardless, Majesty Hyperion will be destroyed by that battle.
Based on the Japanese translation of this card:
"エクシーズ召喚したこのカードの戦闘で発生する自分への戦闘ダメージは相手も受ける。"
Google Translate: The opponent also receives the battle damage to yourself that occurs in the battle of this card summoned by Xyz.
Was just about to comment about this lol, been playing lyrilusc since MACR and i was always playing as if independent caused no dmg to opponent with starling. Could've won so many more cheesey games

I must ask a question about this though: "sanctuary in sky" says that the damage becomes 0 but "lyrilusc assembled nightingale" says you take no damage. Doesn't that difference ccount for something?

When siding for going 1st, harpie's feather storm is a far more impactful replacement for infinite impermanence. Feather duster then is also at least a great side option, being searchable.

Just a little thing on Celeste Wagtail, her 2nd effect states that she can add herself as material of another "lyrilusc" xyz, so you cannot keep feeding Zeus materials.

You can also play tri-brigade ferrijit and the link 3 Simorgh. Then use the link 3 to special out storm statue or apex avian

Maybe I'm just not understanding the rulings but with the interactions between Assembled Nightingale and Recital Starling, wouldn't activating Nightingales effect prevent Starlings battle effect from properly triggering since you don't take damage?
Recital doesn't say, "Any battle damage you would take," but "All Battle Damage you take." I was just curious since yugioh semantics and rulings are always confusing lol
That is what I originally thought but precedent rulings already established.
In the rulings listed in the description.
Majesty's Hyperion + Sanctuary in the Sky vs a bigger monster.
Sanctuary prevents any battle damage from occuring with fairy monsters. Hyperion reflects all battle damage fairy monsters, would receive. And if they attacked a higher atk monster would the opponent take damage and on the database: yes the opponent takes damage.
This will be a ruling to ask the event head judge.
I use Psychic Blade too, I'm so happy to see someone else use it, hidden armory or armory call can search out Blade but hidden armory takes away your normal summon but you can EASILY OTK off of starting off with Warbler. I also use the Link 2 Tri brigade to special summon a bird from hand

So I'm thinking of collecting these cards and entering a local for the first time at 28. Are these viable? I'm only stuck on them because I pulled a few UR cards from a 12$ purchase. I'd really like to get back into the game!
One of the most fun way to play this deck for me is to go full yolo and summon the fusion with as many mats as possible.
It's really funny to place a 5500 to 6000 atk towers on the board that is unaffected by everything and burns for 5000 lp every turn.

@ 18:57 you mention that Assembled is untargetable? How? Colbats effect only applies to the monster that used it on field as Xyz Matetial, so by transfering it to Assembled its not being xyz Summoned using Colbat on field

Definitely was planning to build this deck. Never got the chance to build my Sunavalon deck but now this time I'm hoping to build Lyrilusc with pure, Tri-Brigade, or any other engine.

If Assembled Nightingale makes you unable to get Battle Damaged, how does crashing Recital Starling make them lose LP?
Yeah it seems the way the cards are worded neither player would take battle damage.
Not gunna lie, As for the not taking damage part, it is confusing. But for now. I think damage can be rearranged.
The FIX: You can choose NOT to use the effect... and take the damage and still OTK.
Based on how the card is worded in TCG recital starling and assemble.
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the end of this turn, "Lyrilusc" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also you take no battle damage.
All battle damage you take from battles involving this Xyz Summoned card is also inflicted to your opponent.
Since no damage occured opponent shouldn't take damage. Based on the current wording.

With 0 Damage from the Sanctuary in the Sky, and Damage being reflected from a fairy battle via Majesty Hyperion.

Are you sure you can deal damage with a recital after you've used a nightingale? Recital says "any damage you take is also inflicted to your opponent", surely that doesn't do anything if you do not take any damage
That I am pretty sure in TCG with the current wording it will NOT work.
The construct kill maybe a bug, but to fix the scenario, one one simply just not activate and take the damage after acquiring the difference.
I compared it with the Japanese wording:

The simulator maybe working the effect as if "Both players take battle damage involving this this XYZ summoned card."

Slower Swallow is not a Pot of Greed, no plus one. It's more of a slow Upstart Goblin as it just gives you one extra draw.

@@MSTTV Hey Ive just read the Lv1 Dino and its basiclly saying you can destroy a Dino Monster to either add Double Pill OR - you can add a winged beast and since the birds are those type you could add your startet to your hand maybe if you already have UCT access ? would that make sense ? its just a random thought Im kinda new to the game and would love to hear your thought about the idea

Not enough monsters that special summon themselves. Lacks consistency. Often you'll have a hand full of normal summon only cards, no lv1 swarm monsters without strings attached exist.

I did play test vs Yishan. Safe to say, yes This is better than Bird Up but Zoo Tri/ Pure Tri may get a leg up with Revolts Non-Targeting Banish from Shuraig Paired with Apollousa.

Also Independant Nightengale stalls that deck big time. She is a Lyr but not an essential one. Your focus should be on getting an assembled with minimal 4 materials with 1 Cobalt and 1 wagtail on it as material. Assembled can be an OTK if you know what to do and how to build her the right way
