It is a place where I'd have loved to stay longer. It's a place I'd never thought I'd be.
The marriage of luxe and landscape blends gently into this historic harbor and point, with the Temple of Poseidon always above in the distance.
Did I mention swimming in the Aegean, in a place where Athenian warships used to moor? Where the Spartans attacked? And where about a million sunsets have happened since the Temple footstones were laid?
Despite the heat of the season, it was a refreshing and beautiful place to stay in the middle of two other adventures.
