Ishita Katyal, all of 9 years , at such a tender age, she has leveraged her learning’s to take care of her less privileged friends. She is now the youngest license holder for a TEDxYouth event in the whole of South-East Asia. At age 8, she wrote a book titled - 'Simran's Diary' which is available and doing pretty well for digital viewers through Amazon.com. Her book and her story of connecting with the TEDx community at such a tender age would form the broad aspects of her talk.

@@beaststealth8257 I am 9 That means I'm smaller and still my birthday is on 15 December so actually I am 8 and I appreciate her but I'm still younger and actually I don't like to write. I like to Sing and that's my passion and yeah she's an amazing author I knew about her dairy more than about 2 years.
I only remember myself winning few trophies in dance competitions at an age Ishita is giving a TEDx talk. Honey you have certainly started reallllllly early and am confident as you grow you would be an inspiration to not just people your age but many more much elder to you. It is amazing to see the way she speaks. In Times NIE, she mentions that 'I wish my school taught Public Speaking'. So true. We show this video to children and parents to demonstrate that you can be a good speaker.

I saw Jason Silva's brief conversation with Ishta on Facebook today, and was so impressed by her I looked for her TED talk. I'm so glad I did. She's kind of amazing, and shines with intelligence, confidence, and eloquence.

I too got some national exporsures though not like yours but even then, it has made me strong enough to face further challenges. Keep going Ishita.

Great you are lucky enough, that your parents took you to tedx show at the age of 7 and helped you for your tedx licence at age of 9, in my case, here i came to know about tedx at the age of 21, when i got broadband connection. You are lucky enough to get support from your parents. But the main thing about you to be appreciated is you have taken the opportunity and proved your talent. Great. And thanks for sharing the procedure for applying as a speaker in tedx.

I personally feel, her parents share a major credit towards her success. A mother taking her kid to TEDex talks when she was 7 and inculcating the idea of public speaking, is something unusual while most of them let their kids read tales or play in the ground. And I personally believe, it's the way the child is raised, he/she will become. Cheers! :)

No doubt, she is some kind of genius. Not every child can be so smart at her age, but of course they can excel in doing different things like she has excelled in giving motivational speeches. She is truly an inspiration for kids. I wish I had heard her when I was a child of her age.

I hope the Indian educators and education policy makers learn something from this child. Encourage children to think, imagine, experiment and create new things, instead of pushing them to memorize large number of textbooks which are often full of mistakes and outdated information.
