    Excellent video as always! I remember doing drill after drill after drill in college to get it to be muscle memory. It sucks sometimes but it's worth it!!

    GOLD!! I focused on this all the time while playing catch, but why I never thought to practice this in the infield has me shaking my head, I mean it seems so obvious now, and it makes so much sense…lol
    THANKS thats definitely going in the bag of tricks!

    DEFLECTING = Word of the day for solid infield transfer. "Make it pop!"
    Barehand to Flatglove to Glove. Essential. Nice video!

    Matt when you were around a freshman in Hs what were you doing toget to where you did?

    So "pop" is good but "clank" is bad right? Just making sure, because I do a lot of clanking in the old man's league I play in. Another great, informative video. I will work on this when we start practicing again. Maybe more pop will equal less clank. :)

      Haha I've done quite a bit of clanking as well lol. Thanks so much for watching!! Good luck to you!

    Please demonstrate the proper grip and throwing motion for long-throw infielders: SS and 3B.

      A 4 seam fast ball grip. The reason is that it carries, picks up speed, and will not dip, dive, etc if thrown properly. As a 1st baseman we always expected the worst but loved those missles coming in hot and straight.

      @bbarker5766 Před 5 lety

      Oh and that should be for every fielder too.

      @Y Marinait is done during the transfer usually a 1/4 turn with you thumb gets it but no you cant "always" get it but if you practice it you'll be surprised at how many times you can.
