I 100% agree and I don’t even have kids. I would do anything for my cat (even if my cat killed someone 😩) so I can’t imagine what I would do for my own kids. Just because they’re hiding him (if they even are, which I still find hard to believe) it doesn’t mean they agree w what he did.

And if he really killed her in self defense, there would have been a high chance to get away with it. Because of that incident where they got separated by police and he officially was named the “victim of abuse”.
That is why I think he most likely murdered her and it has to be obvious to investigators, that it was not in self defense. And that’s why he’s running.

Laundrie takes a common neurotic spoiled sibling belief system and takes it to an insane, psychotic level. This illustrates the importance of serious discipline for certain kids. We can see the parents here were busy enabling his horrible personality instead of ending it. The sister tends to get sucked into family dysfunction.

He never truly loved her. He was scared and anxious right after he murdered her which is why he went hitch hiking and stopping in at the Bullwinkle Bar. All worried for himself. He left her there like discarded trash by the creek. He didn't run into town frantic and confess or even run off into the wilderness to mourn. He still was only thinking about himself and how to cover his ass.

Any normal parent in their right mind would teach their young or adult child that they have to pay for consequences when doing things wrong in life.
And at that point I would help my child go through whatever due process they have to to rehabilitate themselves to be a normal person in society.

@A. Brown as far as I know, her parents text his mom for the first time on the 10th and she wasnt reported missing til the 11th. So the parents obviously figured out he was lying and something was wrong on the 10th and were talking to their son about it before calling her mom back. Then when they realized how serious it was they got a lawyer. Like an intelligent person who knows about the law would do. The lawyer told them not to say anything so again, like intelligent people they are following the advice of their attorney 🤷♀️ it all sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I understand why gabbies parents are upset but I have no idea why everyone else in the world is so angry at them. They’re just doing what their lawyer advised.

Cassie is in a tough spot. Either she is in on it, and trying to not go down with her family, or she truly is the outcast and just found out her entire family is evil. It’s got to be extremely difficult to process the idea that your entire family is in a plot to hide the murder of a girl you considered an aunt to your children. And from what we’ve seen with the adorable post cards she sent to the kids, she was a good aunt. A very loving aunt. I can’t imagine what it must be like for Cassie to realize that she is possibly losing her entire family, including Gabby.
On the other hand, maybe she’s protecting herself and does know more. I want to believe her that she doesn’t. The only part that doesn’t make sense to me is when they went camping… the first thing you’d ask is where is aunt Gabby. The fact that she hasn’t mentioned that question is very odd.
I don't know how Cassie is supposed to explain to her kids that their uncle Brian most likely murdered his fiancee. By now, her kids have likely heard from "other kids" that Brian Laundrie is suspected of murdering Gabby Petito. This is a very difficult position for children to be in.

@Larry David Just running through possible scenarios, because in my mind, it makes more sense that Brian would lie to his parents about what happened. Of course it's possible that they knew, but parents are easily deceived by their children. We know that Brian was manipulative, so he could have easily tricked his parents into thinking she flew home, so the FBI report makes total sense. In another scenario, he could have fabricated some crazy story about her death so that they would sympathize with him and help him. Some parents are naively gullible when it comes to their children, thinking that there's no way their baby could do any wrong. I'm not saying that the parents weren't aiding and abetting, but we just don't have all the facts yet.
@Larry David Or rather, he told them that Gabby flew home, and then once the Petitos began texting the Laundrie's, they confronted Brian about it, and that's when he fabricated a story. Stating that he was fearful because while they were hiking, she fell from an edge of a cliff, and he was panicked because he thought people would think he did it. Or SOMETHING along those lines. But basically a story that convinces his parents that he is innocent. But yeah, you're absolutely right, people are stuck on their own narratives and are way too quick to assume blame on someone.
Brian will be caught people give him too much credit he is not a Navy seal not even Army basic training he is just a punk who camped out with comfort and when he did he was not running from the law he had all the freedoms and 911 privileges if he got into an emergency, mommas boy with summer camp skills.

I feel the same. After this interview, IF she’s telling the truth, then I could somewhat understand why she didn’t question it. Because she claims she didn’t know he returned in her van and says they fought often and he flew back for a few days due to them fighting but went back. It’s possible she is telling the truth. But we will never know unless HE stops being a coward and comes forward. And I’ll be honest- the only reason I do feel like she MIGHT be telling the truth is because she would have said NO if she knew her parents were involved to cover for them. I really don’t think she knows. Because I don’t feel she would get on national television and say she didn’t know if they were involved but if they were to come forward. I could be wrong, and like I said none of us will ever truly know unless he comes forward, and IF he even talks when he comes forward. But I think the parents shut her out which is the only smart thing they did because the more Cassie knows, the more she is capable of getting in trouble. Who knows. Just my opinion
That’s the one question I would like answered by Cassie. Did they ask about her? Did he tell them a lie about where she was?
Especially after they were just on that extended trip, which he had been expected to be on for a while longer. A normal thing would be to ask about the trip, Gabbie, why he’s even there in Florida, etc.

I think that this incident has estranged Cassie from her parents. Thanksgiving and Christmas will be much different for the Laundrie family this year, compared to years past.

Toxic relationship here. Hitting each other and not questioning why are they together. Downplaying their dysfunction to the police. Some people only know how to be in these types of relationships. Complete dysfunction with the cycle of fighting and making up. Many times it's led to murder either accidentally or on purpose. My guess is close family knew they had this problem and didn't step in. Often these behaviors are learned by being around similar circumstances. For all we know, the families act in the same behavior. It's unfortunately more common than people realize. I'd be curious if alcohol or drugs was involved during their fighting? If I was a betting man, I'd say they were fighting and he killed her in the heat of the moment and there's likely alcohol in the mix. Innocent until proven guilty however....he's looking pretty guilty though. Hope they find him alive. I want to hear his attorneys tell his side of this awful mess.
When I saw where they found her, I thought they probably had an argument and maybe she pushed him first but then he pushed her and she tripped on a rock and hit her head. Alcohol would, no doubt, make my scenario even more possible. Real tragic this is how it ended.
