Best yet you didn't win Nobel laureate prize in literature and the best literature in the whole "Africa titled things fall apart" was written by a Nigerian. All this stupidity should stop. If you go to the western, go to their universities and tell me how many Ghanaians and Nigerians as professors and then you will who is who. Is an insult to if you people should keep comparing Ghana to Nigeria academically.

I have a question? Ghana has more white visitors and Europeans than Nigerian majority of student in USA prefer Ghana as destination for foreign exchange program M.
I’m American I visited both ghana and Nigeria I felt more home in Ghana like I was in Atlanta but in. Nigerian it was crazy and this is my opinion,
I don’t understand when Nigerian speaks English sounds funny and hilarious
Ghanaian sound more fluent and clear I could relate word for word
When a Ghanaian Americanised they sound more New Yorkers than a Nigerian Americanised , a Nigerian with PHD in United States or United kingdom still sounds funny,
Exactly why Ghanaian are better in rap music than Nigerian Afrobeat broken English
I’m gonna choose Ghana any day

There are private primary schools in Ghana that teach linguistics and phonetics, with emphasis on speech sound. These topics apply to all languages, so one can improve their expressive language skills by working on their speech sound as well, not to sound British, Britain is made of four kingdoms and all with distinctive dialects, so to speak British English, first decide if you want to imitate the Welsh or Scottish people.

I am a Ghanaian British citizen in England. And I need people to understand that South of England English people speak different accent but the same English people. Scotland speak English with a different accent so as Wales who are not native English people but speak English with a different accent too.
The people of Northern Ireland also speak English with their different accent.
Ghanaians English accent as a Ghanaian who have lived in England for more than twenty years can tell you that our pronunciations sounds like the English people in London being the capital of England.
And that accent is clearer and healthier than the whole of the rest of all English speaking African countries.
,Nigerians should listen to the BBC and Sky news in England and hear their pronunciations.
The worse English pronunciations in the whole of Africa is the Nigerians.
That is the truth if Nigerians don't know that:
Nigerians pronounce the English words exactly as written on paper but that is not the convention of the English language
For example all words the ends with tor are pronounced tar and like Doctor is pronounced Doctar etc etc
Therefore Nigerians need to listen to the England UK radio and TV stations and stop messing up with Ghanaians.
Ghanaians are not English people but their pronunciation are obviously far better sounds like the English people and the Nigeria pronunciations just funny! ? Doctor is pronounced Docta and that is how the English pronounce it. There is nothing like Doctor in pronunciation ending tor. Doesn't exist in the English language convention anywhere. Thank you.

Nigerians don't want to be like British. We are not British. We're Nigerians, and we are proud of who we are. We do not want to pretend to be British, as some others are happy to do. Zimbabweans speak better English than Ghanaians, yet they continue to speak with their strong Zimbabwean accent because they're confident in themselves. Ghanaians should get a life. Only Nigeria in the whole of Africa has a language officially recognised as a dialect of English. It is known as Nigerian English, with words from this dialect included in the Oxford English Dictionary. This is what it means to be original, not pretending to be something that you're not. An African will never be an Englishman or an Englishwoman.

Ghanaians don't speak the exact British ascent but it is CLOSER* to the original English than 9ja. The Brits stretch the word when pronouncing and Ghanaians don't stretch it but pronounce it the same way:
    W.e.r*..k ( work)- British
Ghanaians don't strectch it but pronounce it the same way
    "Wek"- (work).
Nigerians pronounce it walk (work) which is not even closer to the original.
    Cherch ( Church)- Ghana
    Cherrrch ( Church)- British
    Chourch ( Church)- Nigeria.
It is obvious Ghanaian pronounciation is closer to the original but the words are not stretched in Ghana like the original Brits.
Americans stretch it further or pronounce the words exactly how it is spelt.
    Lieutenant- lutenant- America
    Lieutenant- Le*e*f*tenant- British
    Lieutenant- Leftnenant( not stretched)- Ghana.

People...to be able to know whos English is which is to research the various UK English accents... to start off the main accent is what we call the queen/king english.. after that there's the London English, theres the country english, there is the scouse or Liverpool English, Mancunian or Manchester English, Geordie or Newcastle English, or There's also the Brummie or Midlands, There's also the Scottish and Highland, the there the Welsh and finally the Irish....
Now here's how each African country got their accent or word pronunciation... During the colonial times the King or Queen of England more or less owned the various territories( let's just say)... The Queen sent representatives or Governors to oversee these colonies... Who they sent was a matter or qualification and well standing in British society and these governors came from all over the UK... most of them were English.. and as. mentioned earlier the various English accents... because of the assimilation and teaching of English in the various colonies the governor deployed to the colonies came with their entourage mainly from their own town... so to butress the my point the people of Newcastle and Tyne area pronounce eg Cup, Bus, us exactly as Nigerians pronounce it.. accent is a little different but pronunciation is more or less the same... The people of country English pronouce their words exactly as Ghanaians would again accent different.. so in a nutshell the various colonies were taught English based on where the colonial governor hailed from... No one country has the perfect Queens English... not even Canada or Australia or USA... the queens English is simply hard to perfect...
we make fun of each other's pronunciations as way of banter which in my opinion is fun and will as far as I can see continue.. 😂
