This commercial makes me feel like Title IX has finally fulfilled most of its promise. It makes me proud of what my body can do rather than how it looks. It makes me want to buy Under Armour stuff and wear it to the gym. It makes me wonder if this ad man wasn’t a woman…

Why do I wear Under Armour? I explained this already plenty of times. I usually don't care what I wear now since I live in the desert and its always hot. As long as its something comfortable. I still wear it because it proved to me in Middle East for Cold/Heat weather gear on mission.

@amerecaratgirl Interesting point... however, I'm curious to know how gear relates to the advertisement. Couldn't they make an ad that showed men and women, both wearing their respective gear. Women would see other women wearing cool gear (which presumably they would want to buy) and men would see other men and the same effect would occur.
I worry that segregating women only fuels the myth that male and female athletes shouldn't receive the same amount of respect.

@lunalovegoodismyhero I think it's just because their gear is EITHER for a man or a woman. I don't think there could be too much unisex gear. Maybe socks? Not undershirts or pants. I would like to see more mixed sex sports drinks commercials (but less sports drinks, they're actually making America fat and probably contributing to ADD).

@amerecaratgirl Hmmm... I disagree. As a female athlete, I love all of the power and grit in this ad! However, isn't it sad that women can't be featured in the original Under Armour ad? Why do the two genders have to be separated? Let's see Under Armour lead the way and create a campaign that displays aggressive men AND women in an ad together!
I like this commercial. However men chanting a song about protecting a house, while trying to empower women and their athletic strengths, is a little confusing... it's inconsistent with the theme of the add to me. So all they're really trying to do is amp up athletic women get on their' side so the athelctic women will buy bunch of athleticwear made by men... marketing is such a funny thing...
