AMERASIAN Jonathan 🇺🇲 Half American Half Asian 🇵🇭 SHOCKED by DNA SEARCH for his Father!

- Jonathan is an Amerasian, this means he is Half American and Half Asian. He was born in Olangapo City next door to the U.S. Naval Base in Subic Bay. He was told by his mother his father's name was Thomas, but last year when his DNA results came back he was shocked to find out Thomas was not actually his biogical father. His U.S. Military Father was stationed at Subic Bay sometime between 1987 and 1988. Now Jonathan is searching for his Father again via DNA testing and maybe this time we have a match!

Estimates put at around 50,000 to 250,000 amerasian children left behind by American Forces during the Korean War, Vietnam War and where the United States had it's overseas miltary bases places around South East Asian countries such as the Philippines and Thailand.

I wish you luck and don't give up. My Son from when I served at Subic Bay from 1990-1992 found me with the help of Angela about a year and a half ago through Ancestry. With me having no other children, I felt incredibly luck to have a adult son and two grandchildren. I constantly thank both my son and Angela for not giving up on finding me. I'm in the Philippines now getting to know my family here in Olongapo and can't explain the feeling. I truly pray for you and hope you find your father.

This is a tough one. If your mother thinks its him Mr. Thomas but the DNA did not match,
your mom has to think or recollect other people she was been having a relationship.
There is nothing to be ashamed of -- it's done and over. Life goes on.
Finding your identity is more important now.... nothing else.
Or he, the father, submitted the wrong DNA. Who would know?
@@iggi70highly unlikely, the man willingly paid child support. The woman clearly had multiple partners close together or at the same time. She’s selfish for not being honest with her son as she is the one hurting the son.

I knew this would happen as a young HS student in the 70s. My heart goes out to this boy. I knew my dad but he had several bastards they may never know their biological father.

Its just amazing how many people here in the US have similar names but if you could find out their birthdays and middle name plus the parents name that could be a plus that you could really find the one you are looking for!
This is sooo sad on all levels... to think someone is your dad only to get that hope crush is very hurtful i can only imagine the pain this young man is experiencing.....On a better note i do hope he heals quickly and at some point find out who his real dad is...he will not feel complete unless he does...hoping for the best🙏

Jonathan, I am an adoptee, and I can relate to your feelings about your biological side that you don't know. I just want to tell Bio families of Adoptees not to be upset about the past. Be resepectful of the adoptee's need to know about what happened back then...Families health (mental and physical) records, if they have any half siblings, what type of parent was the bio dad or bio mom to her children growing up with them, etc. I know Jonathan's father passed before he was born which leaves him with a lot of new questions. No matter what happened in the past, live in the present to be happy. Be proud of your self for all the struggles you had to overcome to be the man and father that you are.
What heartache to discover that the person isn't your father... However now you need to submit your DNA into ancestry etc and see where it leads... Hopefully to your bio dad/ siblings/ family.

Thank you for this video. People constantly vilify ex-military personnel for not supporting children whose mothers claim they fathered, but those men are justified in being suspicious. All men world-wide should demand DNA tests before they support children, even if they are married to the mother.

There were no soldiers stationed in Subic Naval Base because it’s not a U.S. Army facility. There were only sailors and marines. And at Clark Air Base there were only airmen.
Excuse me. Read the history of Subic Naval Base and Clark Air Base.
@@panchoborja2098 Soldiers = Army; Navy = Sailors; Air Force = Airmen; US Marine Corp = Marines. Subic was a Naval Base. Clark was an Air Force Base. No U.S. Army personnel stationed in either of those facilities, meaning no soldiers. Jonathan (man in the video) even indicated his dad was in the Navy. So, his dad was a sailor and not a soldier.
A suggestion...could the US Forces who know that they had relationships in the bases they were posted at kindly put their DNA on the data base??..It would help a whole lot of heartbroken people😢😢

I myself as an amerasian who was also told to believe that my fathers name is so and so but DNA result says otherwise is quite heart breaking. I also believe that if we amerasian kids were raised right with loving care takers there is no need for us to look for someone who also abandoned us.

8:30 all Olongapo jeeps are painted yellow 💛 I was teaching my late wife how to drive...from subic going back to Olongapo...I told my wife to brake since a police man doing the traffic...instead she stepped on the gas...I had to to grab the steering from her and steered in hard right and we hit the yellow jeep...or my wife could have ran over the police...you don't want that to happen since Mayor Dick Gordon was the city mayor... the driver asked for a big sack of rice and 500 pesos or more? Settlement jeje Police said what happened he didn't see anything he was facing the other way...patay ... I was driving a Ford mustang 1967 I bought from a son of a mayor in cavite my shipmate...
Mayor Gordon was like tatay Digong Duterte the mayor of Davao City and became the only president coming from the island of Mindanao...

What if the Father got someone else to spit in the container? I mean anyone can screw the DNA results up, especially if he didnt want his wife to know he has another kid in the Philippines

My advise If its ok, better ask your moms bf at that time or, ask a friend of your mom to confirm,her past bf. This has nothing to be ashamed of, bec. it was a long time ago, what youre after is whom you came from(father). you can ask your moms siblings or parents. hope you can find your real father, so that the burden in your heart will be lifted. KEEP PRAYING, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE BY GOD.IF YOU PRAY, HE ANSWERS.GOD IS GOOD. Thank you for this vlogs that helps other people.

Sad, he needs to move on. My wife is an Amerasian, left behind in the same city. Recently through 23andMe my wife had a hit from a relative of her biological father. She tried to track him down but he denied her. He was married when he had liberty call in Subic back in the late 60’s. So of course he doesn’t want anything to do with an illegitimate daughter. My wife is a strong Filipina, she has moved on.
I’m sure there are a lot of situations like my wife’s story. True Hard Facts. Sailors will be sailors. What happens in WestPac stays in WestPac.

Well, brother, wish you luck to find your biological father and we have to get the attention of American government for the Amerisian children left behind out of this R &R of its servicemen at SubicNaval base and Clark air base. These children are good human resources instead of allowing illegal alien came to your country thru human trafficking. Hope America will do somethingto these Amerisian children.
