Actually it's a really cool story with Phil getting married, so he met Kristin online I think, or at least she was from a different country and as you might know, his twitch got really famous, when he died on his 5 year old hardcore world, because news outlets started writing about it and people came over to his channel, he's been doing it for like 5 years before that, but dieing in his world is the thing that made him "famous" so at the time when he died, he didn't have enough money to... i think move over to Kristin, for the visa nad stuff and it's thanks to him blowing up suddenly that he was able to afford it, so no he wasn't married before he got famous, but he was in the relationship

@@YoBGS for more specifics on how they met, she was literally one of his first like 10 viewers. She worked a job with weird hours and because he was in the uk he was the only live English speaker when she worked. They eventually started dating and met up a few times before doing twitch full time allowed them to get married and move Kristin from the US. In part like 65 of his hardcore series he talks about the marriage which funnily enough happened last march right during the few weeks when everyone went full lockdown.

You were a bit confused on Ghostbur's character here, so I'll just say that Ghostbur wasn't really an established thing yet. This was VERY soon after Wilbur died, so I don't think he had even made an appearance yet. That's why Phil calls him "Ghost Wilbur" instead of "Ghostbur"
Oh yeah, also, chat was completely wrong about college being like high school in the U.K. It is just absolutely not.

In the U.K. college is more like an optional thing you can go to, end high school when you hit 16 and go to college or stay in high school until 18. You can go to college after high school too tho, there is no real age limit, it is basically a place you can get your general qualifications below university level, be it for subjects you didn’t have in high school or subjects you failed at high school, for example in college you can try to get a pass for the subject you failed in high school, or if you really lets say wanted to do drama but never had it be taught in school you can do that in college. This is the general overview of that system

Phil and Kristin got engaged before he got famous. He told this story again recently on stream of how he went to visit her in the US but he was so broke that after paying for the plane he couldn't afford a ring (actually he said he couldn't even afford a bus ticket and Kristin had to pay for him) so he proposed to her by just going down on one knee and holding her hand and telling her how much she meant to him.
But yeah they couldn't really afford to get married until after he became famous.
