My Doberman Sami died last Saturday. she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer one year ago. and had high liver enzymes for all her life. she was my best friend! Thank you for all you do and put out there for us animal lovers...
I am so so sorry… 😢
I lost both 18 year old lab and 16 yr old rescue Chihuahua this last year. It is sad for us owners. There our family members and our friends. They love us and they are our friends and companions. 💕
Yes, they are our family members who love us unconditionally a blessing from God@@DiligentProsperousand I loved her back with all my heart!
My condolences to you and your family for your loss. {{{HUGS}}} I lost my 12.5yo Cane Corso the end of Sept and my 16yo cat mid Jan...so unfortunately, we have the recent loss of our beloved four-legged fur family in common😢
@@cheryl63... Sorry for your loss. 🌹
@@DiligentProsperousSorry for the loss of your 2 fur babies. 🌹
Haha wow, Dr Jones just revealed my entire herbal cabinet. Ive used every single medicine mentioned here except for vit E, that helped my dog beat his stage 4 lymphoma that was of liver origin. I literally use the burdock root and dandelion root as a tonic and either administer it into his mouth via a syringe or add it to his food. He had two cysts on his liver completely disappear, third cyst reduced in size. Nowadays I use burdock root/parsley/ginger tonic for his kidneys and have seen remarkable results from his blood work.
Do have a recipe for the kidney tonic? My dog has kidney disease and I want to try this out.
1. Milk Thistle
2. SAMe
3. Curcumin
4. Dandelion Root
5. Burdock Root
6. Vitamin E
7. Vitamin B12

Dose for each please based on 10 lbs or 1 kilo.
100mg per 10lbs body weight on SamE and milk thistle
My schnauzer was diagnosed with liver disease at age 8… I then decided to cook his meal and found out about Milk thistle which I think saved his life. My Boomer lived to 15.
My dog is also 8 and has liver cancer. The vet has him on chemo-therapy pills. Are you giving these remedies along with or in substitution of vet medications?
Which company milk thistle you gave please tell or provide me the link
Please contact if possible on any app
Dose for 16 lb dog please of Milk thistle - once or twice a day?
I had two minature schnauzers Midnight and Gypsy, Gypsy was diagnosed with liver cancer and ironically me being a nursing student, I opted to keep her on amoxicillin- her red cell count was 1 and I was told she would die within a week- she lived 3 more years. Science only goes so far! Midnight had no problems- very strong male all black mini schnauzer- he lived to be 22! I have two pitbulls right now and I love them dearly, but I reall everybody- schnauzers are the absolute best dogs- I miss mine dearly! RIH Boomer!!!
I really appreciate your support for natural remedies Dr. Jones. Thank you for sharing and caring. 🙂❤
Those remedies work very well for liver disease and yor pets systems will improve and the blood work your vet provides will show in the normal range. The yellow in the eyes will clear up, the nasty skin sores will go away, the hair will grow back beautiful and they will have improved energy as well you will more than likely notice these improvement in your pets health. Good advice Dr. Jones ! Keep up the fine work that you do for us and our pets.
Thanks, Dr. Jones. You're the best!!
Thank you so much! You're making such a big contribution to animal health in general, by giving us (animal owners) the information through your videos.
my 15 year old pittie mix had through the rook liver enzymes. i put her on a similar combo i compounded and had her labs drawn each quarter. they went from a 720 alk phos to 86…
No question. This is the BEST VIDEO around on this subject. Wow. Thorough informative detailed easy to follow!!
Really wish you were my personal vet.
I don't know what's going on in vet med these days but I feel like our vet is dismissive about what I observed with our dog.
I hate doctor shopping.
Thank you for providing this information. You are improving the lives of pets and the people who love them!
Thanks for the video…I love that you provide alternative treatments instead of drugs
Dr. Jones, thank you for this. My 16 y/o Pit Bull Terrier is on Denamarin for elevated liver enzymes. She also has degenerative myelopathy (DM). In the US last year, 4 universities were given grants from the AKC's Canine Health Foundation to study the human medication Riluzole to see if it combats the buildup of glutamate like it does in humans. That would help prolong their life since there are no cures. I live near one of the universities. Due to my dog's age, I don't want to subject her to CSF testing, which I believe is a requirement to participate in the trials. 😕
I want to fix her, but that's not reality. Thank you for making this video. ❤
Thank You for all that you share DrJones❤️🐶😻🤗🇦🇺
My dog came back from the kennels with kennel cough, he was coughing for three days, I remembered to give him homeopathy drosera he stopped after taking three tablets ❤
Thank you Doctor this was very helpful ❤
Dr. Jones I love your channel and all the great things you inform us about. I admire you so much. Thank you for helping all the pet owners. I wish you all great things. Never stop what you do.
Doc I’m glad to see you using NOW supplements even for dogs. Like NOW is really a good brand of supplements for me.
RIGHT! I AM A NURSE PRACTITIONER AND HAVE ALWAYS EDUCATED PATIENTS ON SUPPLEMENTS YOU WANT TO LOOK FOR USP OR GMP CERTIFIED VITAMINS OTHERWISE ITS UNRELIABLE TO ASSUME THE ACTUAL PRODUCT IN QUESTION IS ACTUALLY IN THE PRODUCE. NOW SUPPLEMENTS ARE MY FAVORITE AND MY PERSONAL GO TO. I AM HAPPY HE USES NOW SUPPLEMENTS FOR DOGS. I AM HERE BECAUSE BOTH MY DOGS HAVE EITHER KIDNEY AND OR LIVER DISEASE AND NEED SUPPLEMENTS.
New video Friday! 🎉
Thanks for the work that you do Doc...I recently lost my dog to liver disease in September 2023. It's good to know that we can use natural remedies to help heal our pets. Now I can be certain that I will not loose another dog to liver disease, thanks to your informative videos. God Bless You💯
I made a food recipe of yours for allergies in dogs. Worked like a charm❤❤❤
We are so very thankful for you & your team!!🎉❤
Thank you. Every thing you bring to us is so important.
Please pray for my dog 🐕 Jaco. His Ultrasound showed abnormal growth in his liver and adrenal gland. I’m definitely going to give him milk thistle etc…. Thanks doc for this very informative video
TY...Dr. Jones, I'm glad I had CURCUMIN on hand... May I add... lol.... as I believe it to be fsctual... Curcumin is not only a powerful antioxidant...but it is it's fast acting anti-inflammatory response ... That substantially reduces the risk of cirrhosis. The scarring may happen as insustaniously as the liver instinctivly repairs itself under duress.
Nice and helpful info as usual. My Dal has had high BUN levels indicating problems with her liver. I try to keep her away from high protein diets since consuming too much protein can increase the workload on this organ. I have her on canned kidney diet but not excited about two ingredients that are imported form CHINA so I mix this food with Honest Kitchen human grade but unfortunately has high protein. I have her blood checked every 6 months to especially see how her liver is doing and for now her bun levels are OK.
Thank you for the great info!
So glad I have found your channel
🙏⭐️🥰
Wow. Something I was looking for! Thank you! ❤
My question is with all the dog lovers in the world why do we not have a Medicaid or a type of insurance to cover them that's affordable
I agree. Vet costs have always been high, but now they've outpaced allopathic medical costs. We do need an affordable way to treat our furbabies and keep them healthy. Pet insurance is high priced and what they cover isn't adequate for medical treatment.
So helpful, and hopeful! Many blessings and thanks Dr Jones!!!!
Learn so much from you !! Your the Best
Thank you 🙏 ❤😊
very good news and very hopeful. Thank you Dr. Jones 🌹🌙🙏
Thank you for this video❤.
What about NAC,,,,,,, or is SAMe used instead?

Tula is such a sport! My vet diagnosed my JRT mix with liver disease ten years ago. Been adding milk thistle and dandelion root to her diet ever since. She's now 14.

I have a specific request. Could you talk about sharpei fever? I understand it's specific, but I'm interested in your suggestions.
Your are just amazing and so helpful!

agree, especially to those who cannot afford to go to the vet
Thank you for explaining it so well. I feel like my vets always say theyre just "not sure" which is understandable! But I like to hear the full information on progression, possible causes, whats happening biologically, etc. so this was very helpful ❤❤

My dog has Cushing's disease. Can I give one of these supplements to him with his Vetoryl? If so, which one do you suggest?
Would milk thistle and SAMe be good to give dogs on medications to protect the liver ? Mine was recently put on pimobendan and furosemide.
Excellent information, I have a question, can I make milk thistle infusion too?
Thanks for this info. I was wondering if I could mix burdock and dandelion rt in with my dogs meals sometimes. Sounds like the answer is yes. I use Burdock root, Dandelion rt, and ginger to make a very lovely ginger ale (honey added for carbonization ). Then I save what's strained to add to rice and quinoa, or mix with eggs for a tasty croquet. Yum! Thanks for all you do :)
Would you be able to do a video on Lyme disease? Our girls are both Lyme positive one has really high numbers and one is in the low threshold, we are doing everything we can to try and prevent future kidney issues and wondering what you suggest
Please
CAN we give some of them in prevention ?
Hi! I have my dog scheduled to be spayed this Friday - and I'm reading research (but I have issues with trust!! LOL!) that says I may not need to! Wondering if you have a video with some advice and what you think about spaying - just to spay? She's our only doggie; she was rescued from a bait dog situation and I'm not sure I need to put her through all that since she is very well kept from the male dog population? Pros and cons? I really don't know what to do!! Your advice would be so appreciated! Thank you!
Dr. Jones what does the supplements that contain Maitake mushroom and shitake mushrooms what are the benefits of mushrooms for dogs
Can you do a series for otc stress relief meds for cat travel. I don't always have the ability to get Gabapentin on short notice. Thanks.
And can oregano oil be beneficial for dogs like adding it to water for congestion for chest congestion reduce mucus
Do you have any recommendations for the gall bladder?

HAHAHA WHATT
What's the remedy for kidney disease
My dog just got diagnosed with Lime disease. What can i do to help him.
What about diet?
So appreciative of this video! My guy has a PSS and more than likely congenital as he also has a VSD. From what I've been able to read, only surgery would correct this and not something that would heal on its own, correct? I've been making his food for almost a year with relatively few hiccups, thankfully. I'm going to add the milk thistle and Sam e, can I just sprinkle it on his food?
Oohh thank you for sharing! All the best to your guy 🙏🏽
I just lost my beautiful little boy last month, he was born with a liver shunt which with careful diet was doing well, he ate something nasty on a walk and vet gave him metronidazole antibiotics just in case, after 3 days he went into liver failure, poor baby, discovered metronidazole should never be given to a dog with liver issues. He was only 3 years old 😢
Girl I am sobbing for us both 😭😭 my baby is 3 almost 4 going through the same thing💔 what did our babies do to deserve this
I am so sorry for you losing your baby😢 The vet should have known that 💔 It's making me mad. Sorry.
What about cats??? Can we help cats. My cat does the star gazing and we thought it was seizures ? My vet wanted to give her gabepenin
Dr. Jones, what is your experience with Denamarin? My dog’s ALT are elevated. The first month it brought the ALTs down to 400, but since then the ALT has stayed at 800. My dog is asymptomatic. Five months on the Denamarin. My vet suggests a liver biopsy. For now we are trying antibiotics to see if that helps. As you know, liver biopsies are expensive. I’m thinking let’s try a different version supplement than Denamarin. Your thoughts?
Any suggestions for a dog with diabetes. I watched your video from 6 years ago, but seemed to be focused on a cat. I am doing a raw diet, probiotics and enzymes from natures farmacy. His #’s are still all over the place. He gets insulin 2x a day. I am wondering if he needs a pancreatic enzyme? Any suggestions would be appreciated 😍
My dog Gypsy is 10. I just had chemistry and blood panel done on them and those blood levels you were talking about were elevated. According to the vet no kidney disease or adrenal gland problems but he gave a steroid shot 5 minutes before he did the blood test for the skin infection which is why I took her there. She shows the extended belly and she has excessive drinking and peeing. Has her on amoxicillin , fluconazole. 50 mg. Denamarin. And Mozotic. Can I still give my dog milk thistle at this point. Each of these medicines are being given for 2 weeks
How can dogs get hepatitis?
Can I use these supplements for my cat? I've been to two vets who have done blood work, xray, ultrasound with aspirate. The only thing they've told me is the enzymes are high but aspirate shows no cancer. I've been giving her Denamarin with limited results. Thank you for all you do.
I've tried everything holistic for my dog's arthritis and hip dysplasia. Even a grain-free diet. All the natural supplements work for a good while. But now I think it's he's just burn out on them and they don't work anymore. Last thing I want to do is take him to a vet but I think I'm going to have to i come home tonight and he couldn't even get up. I'm going to hold off to see for a day or so just to see if he is having a bad day. But he's never been this bad where he couldn't get up off the floor.f it if not looks like I'm going to have to go to vet and resort to their medication which I don't want to do. He was prescribed that carprofen a couple years ago and soon as I heard it was bad for him I took it off of him. He was only on it for a couple of days. Anyway keep doing what you do doc your are great.
Hey doc how many supplements is it safe to give your dog. I have mine on green lipped mussel, turmeric, couple of joint supplements, multivitamin. I'm just afraid to add to it due to well it all might not be good for him.. he has joint problems hip dysplasia arthritis. Today I came home he couldn't even get up. And we went for a walk last night from then till now it's like he's crippled, don't know what happened, Anyhow Keep doing what you're doing you're awesome!.
You could definitely try messaging your
pup yourself....maybe just look up massage therapy for dogs. Also, acupuncture would probably help quite a bit. Then you could do acupressure
your self on some of those points when you're giving him a massage.
I've been a nurse my whole life and also trained in myofascial trigger point therapy. I took care of humans but
I used the trigger point therapy and massage after we had surgery to save a leg on a stray dog we rescued. He loved it. The first time I did it he was just laying in bed on his side and I started to work from his head, neck all the way down to base of his tail. He then got up and laid down on his other side so I could treat his other side. So smart...my little Andy boy broccoli...He
lived till he was only 12 because he developed an hemangiosarcoma on his heart. Every 3 weeks he would start to
have trouble breathing and we'd take him to have the fluid drained. All tests were negative for cancer. After we did this maybe 3 or 4 times we decided to
have him undergo open heart surgery.
Again, all tests showed no cancer but when they opened him up not only was there this big hemangiosarcoma but the lining of his chest cavity was full of mesothelioma!!😢😢. The vet called
from OR and we put him to sleep on the table. I was crying hysterically. I still think of him and miss him and this was like 35 yrs ago.❤
Anyway, best of luck with your pup.
What if she has pancreatitis?
I think it’s more that. Will the same supplements work?
I tried doing some energy healing on her in the middle of the night and while doing it, my own pancreas started to hurt, stabbing pains.
💚✌🏽Thank God it was just a uti and not more serious.

I just had to Euthanize our 14 year old Scottish Terrier last week. He became ill, suddenly, one afternoon, so I brought him to the emergency pet hospital, who , after xrays, diagnosed him with a very cancerous Liver. He didn't really seem to have symptoms prior. My question is this: How are so many dogs coming down with Liver Cancer? Why so much? Is it possible that the strong chemicals that they ingest every month from flea and tick medications are to blame? If not....why not? What else is contributing to so many dogs coming down with Liver Cancer specifically?

Great info, thanks. What about diet, Raw versus cooked? Is beef bad for liver if you have higher than normal liver enzymes? Is denamarin advanced the best milk thistle/SAMe or is it overpriced and could use something else instead? This next question is more about Raw: is APN a problem in the US with eating raw chicken, especially chicken necks? Im trying to learn so i can take better care of Rocky. Thanks in advance Dr. Jones
