Super start to my Thursday John, thank you, and greetings from Cyprus. 🦞🦞🦀🦀🦞🦞
Easily the most relaxing non-asmr channel I've found. I used to fish with my Dad in my teens, but he's long dead now, so this brings back some positive memories.
Cheers John, all the very best pal.
I am glad that you enjoy spending time with us Nick. 😊🦞
AGAIN ,,,, NOTHING LESS THAN JUST SUPER 🎉,,, WHAT A FANTASTIC CHANNEL,,, INFORMATIVE,,, FUNNY,,, REAL,,, DOWN TO EARTH,,, AND EDUCATIONAL,,, VERY 😮 WELL DONE,,, THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND CREATIVITY.. BE SAFE,,,
You already have a pot hauler, it goes by the name of John!💪
Well done. Grand video.😃💪🍀🦞🦀🎣
Never disappoint. I love you brother
I love the respect you have for for fishing conservation and your videos are the most informative I’ve found on the net .
Keep it up fella it’s fantastic 🙏🏻
She was a mighty struggle today but a success just the same. Thanks for another great video!🦞🦀
I had to take my last crab trap up because someone stole our other 2 😒 at least i can live vicariously through you!
You can't have nothing nice. Always someone to spoil it. Shame.
Thanks John, Very interesting as always.
You’re a great ambassador for fishermen and fisherwomen , well done Jon
What about fisherthems😂sorry but had to say it....oh and by the way, I'm a fisherman 😂
@@frosty-hi5jf😂😂😂
@@frosty-hi5jf let’s not have any of that nonsense around here.
We are simply sharing what we love doing Jonathan. 😊🦞
I love how much character lobsters and crabs have, they're so cheeky
Me thinks your reading a little too much into the behavior of what are mindless Arthropoda.
@@percussion44 i don't mind lol
I love watching you mate, a natural thank you.
Not the nicest conditions to be out in that, thanks for bringing another great video! You brought me 30 minutes of piece as the two young ones were hooked watching it 👍🏼 😊
Fantastic
Lovely to see that big girl going back, and the other one i remember you notching her.great video john.keep up the good work.thank you.
It's always great to sit back & enjoy your videos John. You just make them SO relaxing & informative at the same time & I don't even get blown out hauling the pots ha, ha. Great stuff mate, cheers Don from South Aust.
Always fun coming along with you
Thanks for commenting on that. I had wondered, as you know. 👍
I remember you doing the lovely lady lobster with the wonky v-notch too. The old granny lobster though, she's a stunner. Wonder how many she's already hatched out? A real beauty. 🥰
The male lobster with all the white coloring was beautiful. I love seeing the color variations.
Nice rough one for you to keep you awake on these early mornings. nice to see the notch system working crack on
A pleasure as always John, love to all the family and keep saving the breeders x
Very enjoyable to watch as always, many thanks for sharing Mate!
Cheers
Rob.
John you did have that female before not long ago i remember her dodgy claw too but nice to see good conservation on the grounds you work unlike some other areas ,great videos as always john keep them coming your getting bigger on the channel, great stuff
Great video John. Havent heard christ on a bike for a few years 😂 👍. I like the attitude toward respecting commercial fisherpeople, and giving them their space, no dobut that will work both ways. Fantastic lobster. Its good to see that other people are doing their bit with the v notching. 👍
Thank you for sharing with us. Take care, be well
Met some good lads on Mull recently - scattering me Mam's ashes - met them in the pub obviously. Got an invite out for the day on a local lobster boat. I asked the lad who wasn't the skipper, if I could just take a rod and drop a line. I got told to feck off in several languages LOL! They had an 11 hour day the next time they went out - thank Neptune they said no and I didn't argue.
you enjoy the work ... we enjoy watching ... thanks
How I wish I had the guts to get out to sea. This video's look so attractive and free. Nice vid, keep them coming
Back to earth after Canada with typical English weather! I was surprised that you didn't renotch that other lobster. Bet that you were glad to get back to port.
Nice one John
Absolutely fascinating.
Awesome again John, weather there same as here wet ,windy ,cold .Happy catching from Australia Nick
I remember pulling me dad's anchor up on his / our 16ft Orkney Longliner. Soon learned to use the swell to get it up - 10 years old, helped with my Rugby and Judo career and love of the sea.
Excellent as usual John many thanks
Wonderful😀
Excellent stuff as always!
Nice to spend a Wednesday evening watching you doing the pots John. Wonderful stuff.
Sod the hauler... There will always be people that choose the elevator, and those that take the stairs (maybe even on tip-toes). Some people are simply born/bone idle. Keep'em coming.
I always enjoy watching 🥰
I think the lobster girl went into your basket on purpose to be further protected^^ Greetings from Germany to you and your family
Always enjoyed John, nice lobster sent back notched. Not easy hauling those pots in that swell mate. Thanks take care👍
Informative as always John, great to watch.
Cheers John.
All the best to you and yours too.
I hope to see one with Jim soon.
Well done again my friend. I always enjoy your videos and appreciate the repeated educational bits you put in. I learn alot and enjoy your videos even more because I have a little knowledge. Thank you!!!
Wow awesome size she was 🩶🤍🩵💙👍🦀🦞❤️❤️🔥😍😘🥰🤗🫶🏻
Enjoyed as always John 👍.
Excellent vid as ever John, hard graft for you there mind! You really do enthuse with your knowledge and I love your conservation minded approach marra, 10 / 10
I watch u-tube videos from fishermen in the Canary Islands, v-notching is not done there. They wish they had that law. It’s so good to see these laws being adhered to in Cornwall. You are so honest John, we need more people like you.
Loved it more please
Love this channel.
Another good video. Cheers Matey.
My favorite type of videos you do. Thanks. Its like im there on the boat.
Answers the question, what if John Locker became a personal trainer?.
"When do we start the workout?" . . .
"Not yet, the current isn't ripping enough for another hour and we're working out with rope pulls today".
Nice lobsters again by the way (as usual).
typical summer weather this year John, regards
Tel G
Love the conservation John
Always that good feeling of anticipation when the pots get lifted...like a child with a jar full of minnows lol...
Bit of a snotty day out there on this one John, certainly a workout, but hauled dinner for you and your best boy so not a blank mate. Really great to see the v notched females, long may they produce. Appreciate the big effort on this one 👍🏼🦞
Many times your videos have brightened my day up, even more so today as it's 2 weeks since I came back from my holiday in Cornwall, . Missing the place already !! Cheers John 👍🏴
way better than all the other fishing channels .Good ethics and no bullshit I subscribed
Another excellent video mate 👍
Man......I Love your trousers 🙂 (the colors of my country's flag)
OMG ! I would not be a good fisherman ... I almost got seasick just by looking a this video 😂😂😂
I’m new to your channel but really appreciate the information you provide. Thank you for a great video and channel!
I reckon i know what those "hefted" boats get up to. Great content, marra !!
This is awesome. That has got to be hard work. Very thankful, you go by the laws, as many do not.
The John excellent video
1 lobster and a dose of crabs this trip well hey hoo another day another trip.
Love your videos--just wish you got to keep more crab!!--I don't really like lobster. But I LOVE crab.
Your Tiny lice are Mysid Shrimps, Mysis sp. are a Coastal species of small crustacean which form the
part of the macro planckton that feed our fish stocks, this time of the year they are extremly prolific and
a vital part of the food chain. The word 'vermin' is not appropriate. Apart from that agreat video and
very enjoyable.
Yea Boy
Always a good time, thanks for taking us along.
Jonathan Mawdesley-thomas says it all John. I thank you - once again - for another 25mins of pure escapism and joy. Pleased you got a reward from all that effort - you certainl;y deserved it! Please say 'Hi!' to James for me when you both enjoy the lobster and - as always - my very best to all the family.
Urgghhhh! If it's above a 4 I'd be sick as a dog! Millpond conditions needed for me! Keep up the good work, you're doing a grand job for the armchair fans like me!
finally got to see video awesome stuff as always
It's always nice to see you come away with something, even if it's not a full catch. What a beauty you restored the V-notches on... Almost certain I saw you catch her before!
The first and only time I had fresh lobster was several years ago on Anglesey. From a local. It was FANTASTIC. can't afford it now. Landlocked.
Hi john I also remember you v notching that lobster with the deformed v notch quite recently.
Brilliant John. That red pot full of crabs they were on fully inclusive holiday hotel 😂😂😂👍
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, still need a winch jon ,
It's so cool to see the difference in each lobster. Always great to watch you Halling the pots John great stuff. All the best tight lines🎣🎣🎣
I hope the weather improves. We're all down to Cornwall 1st week September for a family holiday.
I love watching you do the pots there, John. You never know exactly what you're going to catch.
Always a great day spending some time on the water with you!
Great vid as always John. The Vee notch idea is a great bit of thinking. I assumed all the females bred.
Don’t worry John, James will be able to haul the pots for you soon 😂😂.
a V notch is a tramp stamp for lobsters
You noted the colour variation between the two spider crabs, I believe it's also due to how long it's been since they last moulted.
Me and my husband love your videos please please listen me
be careful your back not damaged your body because hard work you doing every day must be careful your health take care
And by the way you are dressed John, cold too
So, you got me thinking. You mentioned the lice in your cages on sandbars. I took my grandchildren to beach at low tide, and they played on and in the sandbars and came back bit by what I thought we sandbar flees but maybe they were lice? Who knows. Took them home, put cream on them an off they went.
Hello John i dont know if you heard but in whitby down by the old fish market they are opening a visitor centre for lobster hatchery thought you might be interested
You have a nice operation & setup. The manual labor will keep you in shape. Only you know how to do what is good for you. Enjoy your content. The crabs you toss back are a species I’m not familiar with. I watched your channel for about a year & you release them all being undersized. They look like they mare delicious & are obviously highly regulated & protected. That being said in s year or so I see s crab harvest in the horizon.
I would like to see how you bait and what you use. Your videos are so interesting and educational.
Right that's it you're getting a hauler 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Another excellent pot hauling video, John. I just bought my second Fish Locker Tee.
Great video as always John some nice lobsters there 👍🏻 just back from Cornwall went fishing of some rocks I thought might be good ended up with 22 mackerel my freezer is full my girlfriend not happy 😂😂😂
You need a hauler ... 2.11 ohhh
From sunny fairbanks Alaska to cold and rainy Cornwall you are really living the dream John😊Giving the lobster to Jim...does it mean there is a cook up coming haha. All the best😀
Enjoying 100% 😉🍀👍
I think that’s a seals that has popped up at around 13:36 then swam by.
