I don't think you mentioned this part of the shard event:
Completing the shard event will also earn you a couple of gameplay buffs!
Infinite Porters: Provides a guaranteed 'porter' effect (which transports valid items to the Bank when gathered) while the buff is active.
Passive Regeneration Buff: Your life points, prayer points and summoning points regenerate by 10% every 6 seconds while you're outside of combat.
Buffs can be enabled or disabled by Mr Mordaut (or Mordaut Jr) at Fort Forinthry any time after you have completed the hunt. The buffs are available to use for 14 days once you complete the Hunt - disabling the buff will not stop the 14-day timer that begins once you earn the buffs.

Nexus is huge for multi style defensives imo when you don't care about perks or defender effect.

I was pretty confident that the ranged loot was going to be armor, not t95 dual weapons (and if they were, I was certain they would be throwing weapons, not crossbows -- blightbounds and the ECB with bak.bolts are already powerful enough to compete with t95s)
I _am,_ however, surprised that the armor is power gear.
-Magic has tectonic for offense and cryptbloom for defense
-Melee has vestments of havoc for offense and trimmed masterwork for defense
Ranged is significantly lacking in high level defense
With Darkness, Greater Bone Shield and things like Disruption Shield. I think Ranged defence has less of a priority right now.
offence is defense in runescape bossing to be honest. if you're dpsing enough to skip mechanics then you wont have to deal with the incoming dmg.
@@maeseven106kinda sucks tbh. It is not hard to do enough damage to skip phases at ALL kinds of high end bosses. Just makes things feel less interactive and engaging and more like a standstill dps check.
ranged is going to have to get by with darkness since it works for all armors. animate dead is dmg reduction, necro has darkness for miss chance. the devs talked about wanting range to have something unique way back when animate dead came about but i don't see what else could you do, maybe hp barrier mechanic? but that just sounds janky so they prob said screw it and let darkness work for everything
The only thing I could think that could reduce DMG other than flat reduction or miss chance is randomly stunning the boss or something lol. I would be okay with range being the undisputed champ of straight up dps like it used to be.
Love hearing all these seemingly positive changes coming to Runescape, with the combat beta and TheRSGuy's dev interview about it, and now actually seeing some diversity coming into the existing combat system with set effects for specific weapon types.
I just hate the fact that most content creators' videos showcase them with end-game gear We don't have the luxury (most players)of going into the new boss fight with stuff like a soul lantern and omni guard.It's kind of a moral breaker to constantly see this
@@danielrolf3768 the thing that bugs me the most is that there isnt a lot of early or mid game content. Mid game is just one long boring grind to get access to the fun late game stuff
i saw the look of the armor and said I WANT! and its effects are pretty nice too.
This looks better than Sirenic. A true final stage for the dragon scales armor.

Well dang! I've actually got all of the requirements for this boss lol. I'm excited. Although I probably won't stand a chance against him but I'm going to try.
really happy that they made loot the same for groups, now i can learn vorkath with other clannies and wont lose out on any loot or drops because its a group

Now I ponder if the Loot Chests will be affected by Luck of the Dwarves upon opening, or if it is determined on drop. Another attempt to reduce Switchscape, potentially?
Any idea where Vorkath will fall on your boss difficulty scale? I will guess *Challenging* for normal mode and *Very Hard* for hard mode! 😊
No idea: but I reckon normal mode Vorkath will be equal to or harder than Kerapac in normal mode.
@@ProtoxxGaming A friend of mine said that one of the Jagex mods mentioned it being similar or roughly just under Raksha solo. Take that with a grain of salt though because he didn't have a source, he's not one to tell fibs but he could have misheard it also and could just have meant the drop mechanics being like Raksha not difficulty but not sure :)

I kinda hope that, if Vorkath drops ancient scales, it doesn’t drop a lot. I like ed1 and it would be nice (imo) if that’s the best place to get them
Ah yeah, maybe it drops very few just like Rex Matriarchs actually drops it. I think it should come from ED1 primarily for sure. It's always been a nice consistent moneymaker too and I think it should stay that way.

Any idea how long the incantation's debuff will last? Until target dies would be ideal, but I doubt we'd be that lucky.
30 seconds for how long it lasts on skeleton. No idea how long the debuff actually lasts for once applied
they did say something about 60s on stream....
but that could've also been the mods misjudging the duration of the incantation itself (as its clearly 30s)@@Brawneteer

Do we know if all drops will be obtainable from normal mode or do we have to do hard mode?
The Invoke Lord of Bones and Zamouregal's Nexus are probably going to be some serious must haves among anyone who plans on using Necromancy as their main combat style! The prior would effectively function as Necromancy's version of Vulnerability, with the latter being exceptionally helpful for further taking the brunt of some serious damage using the Greater Bone Shield at 120 Necromancy! There is no doubt everyone is going to be making a blitz for Vorkath to mess around with those two things, and the new armor set provided thanks to Vorkath's materials!
that codex is going to be an easy bill+ for a very long time this is gd gcon codex at its peak all over again.

Almost had a heart attack on the possible price change of my elite set but forgot it's the only set iv dyed, so fucked no matter what lol
If you have an Alt, bring it alongside your main to the Red Clan Wars portal.
Equip your elite sirenic armour (can be augmented so don't worry), and let your alt do the "dirty job".
If you're thinking that buying membership for an alt is expensive and too much of a commitment, let me remind you that, on the RS Mobile Client, you can purchase 1 Day Membership packages.
So just buy your alt 1 Day worth of membership, take your main with the elite Sirenic into the Red Portals at Clan Wars and afterwards just trade the ancient scales to your main.
This must be done in a Member's World yes or yes, otherwise the F2P Trade cap will eat your items alive.
So we are not getting a 4th summon? Also just so I understand elite Sirenic will have a chance to give the effect of hydrix or onyx bolts randomly even if you are not using them?
We’ll get it when we get it, they have ideas but no word on when they will put those ideas into motion.

After every piece of necromancy armor and weapons being non degradable if the dracolich armor is degradable and as expensive to repair as elite sirenic I think I’m gonna remain at t90

This might be a stupid question, but do you think it's possible that the bolt effects triggered by sirenic will need to have the relevant bolt equipped? Like, can I be using ruby bak bolts and proc the set effect and get a chunk of healing or adrenaline as if I was using hydrix or onyx?

It surely isn't phrased like you need the relevant bolt equipped. They could've just buffed the proc rate of bolts if that was the intention.

They are great... they will feel like slot machines and YT channels can encourage loot boxes for them.
Any news relating the degradation of Sirenic? Love the buff and all but degrading to dust isn't exactly great either.
Think they released a blog post saying Tectonic and Sirenic armor won't degrade to dust anymore.
Tier 92 Elite sirenic and tectonic no longer degrade to dust and degrade into a broken state. This was added on the 13th of November 2023

How long do the fort/quest requirements take? Havent played in over a year, just got 90 necro the past week
All the fort forinthry quests take less than an hour each. Some can be done in 30 mins

wow regenerational prayer buff.. thats crazy. broken skill, always thought burying bones should have regained prayer but you have to altar them. This is a buff that has to be redone every 2 weeks.
I just don’t get the range armor drop when we already have elite serenic lvl 92. I really continue to feel the Jagex is out of touch with what the player base wants. Ugh!!!

Sirenic becomes the CBow armour, Dracolich becomes the Bow armour.
3 armour tiers is almost negligible, so no point having the CBow armour set and Bow are set different tiers.
Ranged now becomes more diverse in how the two weapons play out and feel, and they can always add a tank armour set later. But diversifying ranges two main weapon types is a far more interesting update to the game than just adding a tanky ranged set.

You don't understand the boss is junk without a zuk cape and the rasials damage perks. you can't save up souls for the final phase. the dps in a kiln cape is so small you cant run around fast enough to lose all your food and agility. I killed it one time in practice mode but it took an entire pack mammoths worth of sailfish. lol. @@saldussapnai3464

Why not t95 armor?
Because T95 provides almost no benefit over T92, and they want a set for bows and a set for crossbows, so why have them at different tiers?

T95 provides almost no benefit over T92. The passive is what's important, and they want bow and crossbow focused sets, so why have them at different tiers?
The armour set is BIS ranged, wdym? The necro pouch upgrade is huge too
Why do they have to shaft ranged so much?! Magic can litterly use everything with just a wand and staff switch, range you need bolg, hydrix/ruby switch and now a fling whole armour switch... just make it a rare patch for elite sirenic instead of a whole new tier 92 set....
Guess at this point my 3B in melee is completely wasted. Rip to my fav combat style. Might sell everything tonight and try to get a seren godbow.
Don't sell it. Melee will be king at one point, keep the gear dormant in your bank.

Sirenic passive feels underwhelming when most players use bakri bolts as their main bolts. As a crossbow user i kinda feel left out when bows get a better deal with the new armour.
I think it will be pretty strong, you could use ruby while still getting the passive ability to trigger hydrix or onyx bolt effects.

unlimited caps(2b) on things like this (boss loot caskets) make no sense because no one in their life could get to it.. i think they should limit them at something reasonable in cases of dupes

really sucks when i log into rs3 this morning during double xp and only 5 worlds had more than 200 players on it the games dead
there were server issues this morning form old school leagues. right now got almost 10 worlds with 1k+ and all but like 7 p2p worlds have at least 100+ people. not arguing the games lacking people just pointing out why u saw that.
