- Determining the cardiac axis on the ECG is much easier than most people think. The problem with the cardiac axis is that every book explains it in a slightly different way. Many of these ways are overly complex. In this video, we'll teach you everything you need to know about the cardiac axis and how to diagnose it on the ECG - i.e., EKG. Plus, you will learn our simple and reliable method to determine the axis in under 5 minutes.

Mind blown!! I have learned many methods and always struggled with their logic... Your method is clear and logical and can be easily applied on the spot. Thank you!!!
None of it makes any sense lmao
What makes this a valuable resource is its capacity to explain the rationale in an understandable way.. Thank You!
I literally want to hug you, my book is useless, I actually get this
Thank you very much! I appreciate how you accurately & clearly explained this in just 15 minutes. My professor, on the other hand, couldn't explain this very well in her 3 hour lecture!
Well, this is underpaid, overqualified tutor, who can teach you simple, easy to understand , logical ways which can improve your medical skills. Hands up
, the best explanation I've ever seen.
I'm so impressed by this video. Well done. You really explained things beautifully.
So simplified that it's genius. Thank you.
Can't thank you enough😭😭😭 I have my exams tomorrow and this video literally saved me
Hi @git18!
Best of luck with your exams!
Please let us know how it went!
Mind blown lecture 😍
I have learned a lots from this video. Thanks a lot from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
I now owe you, Sir. You just indirectly helped thousands of patients with a video.
You're the Master , I got very overwhelmed from my book and some other videos but you cleared it up , Thank you so much
This helped SOOO much. Thank you! I finally understand :")
BEAUTIFULLY EXPLAINED!!
Thank you so much for this video ! You managed to explain such a complicated process in very easy terms. Helped a lot with my upcoming Cardiology Colloquium
Clear and Concise. Thank You!
This is the most useful video on youtube on thiss topic.. can't thank you enough..
Thanx for sharing! Perfectly explained😊
Very very simple to understand. Thank you
thank you soooooo much I've been struggling in cardiac axis until I watch your video really thanks alot ^^
Great summary. Very helpful!
Nice explanation sir, thank you so much.
thanks sir! very clear and great explanation!
This was wonderful! Thank you!
wow absolue genius. How I struggled with this. thank you
Thanks for this amazinf lecture. God bless you
Do the length of the R and S spikes have to do with determining the cardiac axis?
I'm reading a book that says that when they're equal in a lead then that lead is at a right angle to the cardiac axis. But the book is really difficult and I'm not sure I understand.
This was super good for my dumb brain, thank you sir.
In conlusion
If lead 1 positive look at lead 2 - if thats positive then its a normal axis
If lead 1 positive look at lead 2 - if thats negative then its a left axis deviation
If lead 1 is negative look at aVF - if thats positive then its a right axis deviation
If lead 1 is negative look at aVF - if thats negative then its North west deviation
Wtf is north west deviation
Just no word to say you Thanks.!
You and @mihretabgirma, who forwarded the link to the batch's group, are life savers for the st.paul human population.
Can you come teach my med school class? You made it so much simpler than my prof!
when we are talking about lead one and two in this start of the video about the axis deviation, the wave we are talking about is the QRS corrrect ??
wow, what i can say is wow.. you just simplified a maze for me, thank you.....💖
I love the music at beginning 🌚💕
Omg this is perfect…3 hour lecture in 15 minutes amazing
Great work!!!
Thank you for sharing!
Amazing!! Thank you so much🙏🏽
I thought that a RBBB by itself already gives a right axis deviation. How can you know that there is also a posterior fasicle block?
Excellent. Superb, mind blowing easy
Thank you, god bless you...
Best 👍🏻. Thank you so much 💖
oh my god!!! clearly explained thank you so much!!!!
The usefulness of CZcams.
Thank you very much sir
You're welcome @nagaratnamsuthakaran3639! :)
this is a great lecture
💯 Crystal clear about Cardiac axis !! ❤
Thank you so so so much This video helped me a lot

This was a excellent video
Thank you so much my friend
Amazing! Thank you
so helpful thank you!
Amazing video!
Plz! Reply
Why we look cardiac Axis in lead 1 and lead 11 ( or aVF when lead 1 is negative)....
Excellent!
Thank you very much
Thank you ❣️
thank you!
My EKG book by Karen Ellis says that you have to look at Lead 1 and avF to determine the axis quadrant. I get confused! No Lead 1 and Lead 11 for normal and left axis deviation. It uses only L1 and avF
Thank you!!
thank you so much!
EXCELLENT !!!
Best explanation! deserve more views to save medicine
thank you!!!!!
EXCELLENT MARVELLOUS ,THANKS ALOT
I like to think that this is elliot birch teaching us :)
You are a Boss!
I love your shirt!!
dear colleague, I am a foreign MD and I have a question regard this video, I am from Eastern Europe and our med school has learned us that the left axis deviation we should consider the 1st lead and negative aVF, pls contact me
Thanks bro you are you helpful. May my teachers learn how to teach things 😟😟
Appriciations
delightfully easy indeed! not rediculous by anymeans!!!
Much appreciation. thank you

Good grief. Why are the explanations online screwing around with angles and circles, when you are going to find the axis information by looking at the overall signage of the relevant ECG graphs? Thank you so much for not letting the geometry complicate things.
thank you
love this
EXCELLENT
Wow. Ammazing
Good , very good !
Tq sir
Simpler is to just look at I and aVF - you can tell left axis deviation by them as well
What if the waves in Lead I/ II or aVF are equiphasic?
Cheeck the perpndiclr lead of thr equiphasic one
I'm speechless!
Perfect!!!

Thanks a bunch. I'm now going to tell the provider that a patient has a left anterior hemiblock. That should impress them.
