With the XD-M Elite being added to the California Handgun Roster recently. I had to take one out, and do a 500 round test/review.

First impressions. It feels great in my hand. Very ergonomic. Comes with 2 magazines, and a lockable zippered bag. The finish is exceptional.

I shot it between 50 yards, 25 yards, and 15 yards. It is definitely more accurate than I am. The factory sights are excellent, and make getting a clear sight picture fast/easy.

After shooting the last of the 500 rounds it left me wanting to grab some spare mags, a nice universal loader, and head back out.

I'm glad Californians have access to another great pistol.

XDM is one of my favorites!! Definitely agree with you on Springfield’s Quality.
The XDM really impressed me. Id like to take it back out for another 500 rds before cleaning it.

@@dirtybirdusa I'm sorry that you California guys have to deal with California laws. Anyway, I got the xdme in 10mm for bear protection while hunting in Idaho. But the place that I ordered my holster from sent me a glock 20 holster. I just so happen to have a g-4 glock 20 so took it with me. We had lots of snow while hiking and my pistol either froze up in the holster or the holster froze up in the very cold weather. Anyways, i could not get that pistol out of the holster even with two hands. I was bear bait, lol.
Back to the subject. I love the xdme so much that I got it in 9mm, 10mm and .45 acp.
It comes with 2 magazines right?
Does it have magazine disconnect?

Are you able to add optics to this model?
It doesn’t come optics ready, but I have seen guys running them with red dots.
