I am just about to go into second fix to fit a Loxone system having completley rewired our home which is effectivley a new build. I hope it never has to be removed as its costing a great deal to buy and install. Why would you not just leave it in the home? As I am like a new build I have used KNX cable to all of the tree switches and sensors. I am not really using any Loxone RGBW fittings. My view is this could be replaced by KNX, that would also cost a lot of money but if for any reason Loxone went bust I would have an option without tearing the house to bits.

    Nice video.
I live by the philosophy; dumb system first, smart system second. The system is designed in such a manner that minimum to no effort is required to revert to the dumb system, and, the system can continue functioning manually as a dumb system if/when the “brains” of the system eventually fails.

Nothing wrong with the dumb system though, it works fine with no issues and works for a lot of family homes, too many different coloured lights just make a house look like a nightclub and not a home. Minimal is best imo, nice warm white lamp in corner of room is all you need. Keep the PLC controls for your commercial or inductrial.
