Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 8 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have 2 half Thai, half American boys named Luke and Leon. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 5 years.
Wat and I have owned several businesses together on Maenam walking street in Koh Samui. Right now our restaurant Lilikoi Bistro is closed but we will let you know when we reopen.

Hi Lilly, that dessert at 13:43. We call it "Bua Loy Nam Khing" in Thai. The soup is made from boiling ginger in water with sugar and black pepper, and the white balls are made from glutinous rice flour (not flower) and grounded black sesame seeds. It is a Thai-Chinese fusion type of dessert that is almost always consumed while hot. You can find this particular dish in almost every Chinese restaurant in Thailand, especially in the Chinatown area in Bangkok. In fact, in Chinatown they also made many versions of this dish, both hot and cold.

Your husband will love you forever because of your stunning looks and unbridled adventurous spirit and love of freedom.
That guy in America must’ve been a control freak.
You really have found what most people never find.
The heat is a small price to pay (I can sympathise on that point ha ha).

Found your channel two weeks ago and have been looking forward to watching everyday. I am very happy to see the growth you have been having.
I believe investing in some type of shotgun microphone to improve the audio quality will create an even better video watching experience for the viewers.
Wish you guys nothing but the best!

I'm pretty sure that "flower" dessert is called "Black Sesame Dumpling/Glutinous rice balls in Ginger Tea" (บัวลอยน้ำขิง). บัว/ดอกบัว (bua/dokbua) means lotus/lotus flower, so I think that's where he got "flower" from. :)

New sub here to your channel!😀 I have enjoyed watching your content! My dad is Thai and my mom is from the Philippines, I was born and raised in Maryland in the US. I have always thought about the possiblity of moving my family to Thailand. My dad is from Chiang Mai (up North) and we were supposed to go last summer, but the pandemic hit, so no traveling for us. I am showing my wife and kids your content and how well you have adapted to the Thai culture and life style. Your videos help me get a good perspective of Thailand and your area. Keep up the great work and I will continue watching your videos and will follow you on Instagram too! Oh and I really enjoy your food commentaries!!👍🤗

Nam is so sweet with the kids. 😍 I think I’d eat a duck lip before I’d be able to eat intestines. 😳 They don’t waste any food in Asian countries, do they? I’ve always been a really timid eater. I can’t even eat shrimp just because of the texture. My sister can eat anything including chicken hearts, gizzards, octopus, and escargot. Nope, nope, nope. 😱

I love the music too. I grew up in a village and I would enjoy the simplicity of life in the village.
I also loved the small church gathering, a small community, experiencing love and connectedness. It's a life I dream of. Simplicity, I love that.
Oh, the food, the cooking, the quality I can taste it from afar, I even dreamed enjoying Thai foods in my dream, some strange dishes but fresh, strange but delicious. After watching your video.
