Hi , I am from South Africa. We do have a command to celebrate His feast days. In Hebrew it is actually called moedim, meaning appointed times. His feast days are appointed times with Him and a sign that we are His children (Lev.23 and Ezekiel 20:20). But instead of Easter he says celebrate the Passover, NOT Easter! Easter is named after the pagan godess Istar, that was a fertility Godess aka the bunnies you get over Easter. Passover is celebrated on the the 14th of Nissan, just like and when Jesus did when He was still here. Unfortunately not on a Friday! We have so many pagan traditions in christinany😢. Jesus said let us observe the festival, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth(1 Cor.5).

Nowhere in the New Testament Jesus says to stop doing the feasts of YHWH, instead He says to do the feast not with the old leaven but with unleavened bread of truth and faith (1 Corinthians 5). Instead the disciples all still kept the feasts after the resurrection. Nowhere in Scripture he moved the day! But yes, the Church did. Go read about the Council of Nicaea in May 325 AD. They changed the date. They don't have the authority to do so. So choose you today whom you serve...God or men!!!

I have no question about contemplatig / celebrating the Death, Burial & RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ- every day. But I am concerned about the pseudo celebrations of egg hunts, baskets, fancy clothes etc. Q's about how the date is chosen etc. However we are instructed by the Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:16 KJV -" Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days." So seems there is freedom in this subject as well.

I thought all these holidays were merged with pagan holidays by King Constantine who wanted to introduce Catholicism to his kingdom? I thought the days of Easter are set according to something the moon is doing. I thought Jesus died on the 3rd April? So many different explanations by so many different men. I thought he resurrected 3 days after passover? This explanation is not thorough enough to celebrate a day we weren't commanded to.
Easter represents the resurrection. The easter egg even represents the resurrection of Christ from the tomb.
Can you tell me which day Jesus was crucified? Was it really on a Friday? I have heard recently it was actually on Wednesday not on Friday because he rose after 3 days and 3 nights. What does the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have to do with eggs and bunnies? Celebrate Christ every day and thank him every day for what he has done on the cross. Please explain if 1 day makes 24 hours, then how did he die Friday and be risen on Sunday? That does not make 3 days and 3 nights. If you read and study your Bible, nobody will fool you. Read John 19:14, it clearly reveals that Jesus' crucifixion happened around passover. The passover feast that Jewish still held until this day. Go back to Exodus and read where the passover originated from. It was when the Lord struck every first born in Egypt and instructed Moses and Aron to tell the elders (Isrealites) to kill a lamb or goat and take the blood of it and put on every door posts and lintel so that the Lord will passover where he sees the blood. It is dangerous when we add or remove things from the bible. They lied to us that Christmas is when Jesus was born. Do you find that in the bible? NO. In the book of Luke, the angel Gabriel was send by God to Mary, which was the 6th month, and if she conceived then, that would make it March because a full term pregnancy is 9months. Do I Celebrate March NO I don't because there are some things in the bible we will not know till we meet Christ. Read your bible for yourself so that no preacher will lie to you. Preachers know that people don't read the Bible. That's why they can stand confidently and lie to people.

If you celebrate something that is not commanded in the bible, you are adding to the Word. Nowhere does it say you can praise and honour our Creator the way we want. In fact it specifically says that we should not honour Him the way the heathen nations honoured their gods. Which is exactly what Easter is doing. It is like saying to your wife or girlfriend that you want to celebrate them on your ex's birthday. People should learn how our Father in heaven wants to be honoured. This is done by following Scripture. There are actual commanded festivals we should honour: Pesach and First Fruits, which align with when Yeshua died and was resurrected. Easter is a pagan fertility rites festival and our Creator is not begin honoured when we take part in it.

Passover is determined by using the start of the biblical year, which hasn't occurred yet because it is determined by the barley being ready (or aviv - hence the Hebraic name, Aviv, for the first month). Once the start of the year is determined, the evening of the 14th day (which is counted from the first crescent moon visible in Israel), is Passover - as per instructions from the Bible.
It makes no sense why the world would celebrate a day - not a date. If my grandma died the second Tuesday of July, am I going to be remembering her death on the second Tuesday of July every year? Of course not. I am going to use the actual date. Plus, how can Friday to Sunday be three days? It's one and a half days. The world is so wrapped up and being deceived that they have lost all common sense.
Yeshua was actually crucified on a Wednesday. His death and resurrection aligned perfectly with Scripture. And Easter? Aligns perfectly with pagan worshipping.

There are days which the Bible says we should REMEMBER or CELEBRATE. Is Christmas, Easter and other written in the Bible that we should remember
