ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
In this video, Daniel explains to you what bible translations you should read as a Christian. There are many bible translations and revisions out there, but not all of them can be trusted. So what is the best bible translation that you should buy or read? In this video, Daniel will talk about 6 bible versions that you can trust. Whether you are a beginner or a mature Christian, these bible translations will help you to grow spiritually in truth, because they are accurately translated from the original Hebrew and Greek manuscript copies. I wish it was easier to find and talk to someone who knows N.T. Greek.
Just ordered an ESV. After being called back to Christ after years of being pulled down, This man is one of 2 people I'd be happy to be re-baptized by. Coming back means a lot, and being baptized again as an adult to reaffirm my love and attempt to be obedient to Christ would mean a lot.
Stand strong brother! My main read is a ESV too, but I have a few versions. 💪
Matthew Ch. 10 / Matthew ch. 5
Pslams 91 / 2 Peter 2 / Psalms 9
I fell away for many years and severely times back n forth while living for the world. I've been back as best I possibly can since like 2019ish
Don’t be rebaptised that’s nonsense
John MacArthur has a very good study Bible in ESV
How is it nonsense? Being baptized in the Holy sprirt, it's not needed for salvation, but you do it to show Jesus is your Lord. that's what your declaring. @JTswansea
Here is a time reference to the different Bible versions that were discussed in this video:
6:24 : King James Version
7:21 : New King James Version
8:00 : English Standard Version
8:48 : Christian Standard Bible
9:41 : New International Version
10:47 : New American Standard Bible
11:17 : New Living Translation
12:07 : Amplified Bible
This is so sweet. Thank you for doing that! God bless you! :)
Please folks! The enemy us very subtle 😎 Beware! The KJV (closest to GOD's Word) for instance says, in 1st Chapter of John's Gospel: "All things were made by Him" 😇 The New King James Version (believe it or not) says: "Through Him, all things were made" 😔 Now, c'mon, in one Bible HE is the original source and in the other an "agent". Revelation warns against adding or taking away from the Words of this Book. 😡

I'm a native speaker of portuguese language ( I'm Brazilian) and I love this channel because I love english and I also love the word of God!
Hi Brother. Even though Brother Daniel have some very good videos leaded by the HOLY SPIRIT Who is the Lord Himself, here he speaks too religiously, not all of the Lord's people speak English and it's AMAZING, but if you have the Spirit of CHRIST, you can see the DIVINITY of CHRIST even in the NWT version (JW's)
Let's we check that...
Genesis 1:26, 27 (NWT/JW"s)
26 Then God said: “Let👉 us 👈 + make man in our image,+ according to our likeness,+ and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every creeping animal that is moving on the earth.”+ 27 And God went on to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
Jeremiah 1:4-9 (NWT)
4 👉The word👈 of Jehovah came to me, saying:
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew* you,+
And before you were born* I sanctified you.*+
I made you a prophet to the nations.”
6 But I said: “Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah!
I do not know how to speak,+ for I am just a boy.”*+
7 👉Jehovah👈 then said to me:
“Do not say, ‘I am just a boy.’
For you must go to all those to whom I send you,
And you should say everything that I command you.+
8 Do not be afraid because of their appearance,+
For ‘I am with you to save you,’+ declares Jehovah.”
9 Then Jehovah stretched out 👉his hand👈 and touched my mouth.+
(The WORD=the SON is Jehovah/YHWH - John 1:1-14 )
Isaiah 9:6 (NWT)
6 For a child has been born to us,+
A son has been given to us;
And the rulership* will rest on his shoulder.+
His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,+ 👉Mighty God👈 ,+ Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
As you see Bro, you do not need of good Bible version, you need ONLY of His SPIRIT!!!!!!!!!

Before I moved out on my own to a studio, I was blinded by my sins. Being addicted to pornography was one of them. I always believed in Jesus, but I dont think I was truly born again until about 2 years ago. When I moved out on my own, I found a Bible that I had packed. (My family owned many Bibles, but I never really read the Bible growing up). It was a New Living Translation Bible. I began reading and God really spoke to my heart. He convicted me of my sins and taught me how to have a personal relationship with Him. I developed a more prayerful life and a new desire to read His word. I now have a new desire to follow Jesus and surrender everything to Him. Though I slip into sin, the Holy Spirit guides me to ask for forgiveness and to put my eyes back on Jesus. I believe God used the time I spent alone living in my studio to get to really know Him through His word, and the Bible I read was the New Living Translation....I believe God speaks to people in different ways and not just through only one translation.

I have the same problems and battles. I share your pain. I am in the battle now.
Powerful testimony, thanks for sharing!!

Very well done video. Thank you. I have been an NASB guy for many years but have recently switched over to the ESV. Oddly enough, when I do verse comparisons, I find the ESV accuracy on par or sometimes even more literal than the NASB. Recently started reading the CSB which is a great translation.

@@destroyedsettings5506 That's FAKE...
May YESHUA YHWH bless you!
I honestly believe that people should read the translation that they will read. May we never forget that Jesus is the Rabbi, and that what one person needs in a season can be wildly different than what another person needs. For years I would only allow myself to read the ESV, or NASB because I as well have a high value for literal translation...but recently I have woken up every morning with my thoughts going to the NLT...which I have always pushed against (for some unknown reason)...so in surrender I opened up my NLT and it has felt like water to my soul. I'm seeing things in the Word that I've never seen before and the Presence of the Holy Spirit so strong as I read. Every persons journey with the Lord is so different and unique. I strongly disagree that the NLT is for "new believers" only. I've walked closely with the Lord for 38 years now and have a very solid depth of knowledge when it pertains to scripture ... yet the NLT is where Jesus has me feasting.
And this is one of the versions that’s missing important verses…..😒
Amen! Thank you so much!
May God bless everyone who is watching this video.

Retro Theater: Praying for you. My ex did the same to my children, but the Holy Spirit gave me victory and now I am very close my children. Make sure you stay humble and close to God during this time. Never say anything bad about your ex to your children. (I know that's hard.) When it's your ex's birthday, go with your children to the store to buy little simple gifts, and cards. When you see your children, ask them sincerely how your ex is. Your kids will see Christ in your words and actions and God will have the victory in this situation. It may not happen quickly, but in God's time.

Praying for you brother in Christ. I have been going through the same for years. What changed my life was praying for my x and my enemies, for there to be peace between us. After time, there was peace and now we get along and they even share food from their farm and help me at times in need. Just pray for your x and your enemies. Joy
My mom and dad presented me a KJV study Bible on my 18th birthday! They also got me an NLT before I left home for college. I specifically asked for the NLT because I felt that it puts a lot of verses into perspective. But I'm quite aware that it can be misleading, sometimes. So, I try to grasp the context from NLT and support it with the King James Version to get the actual intention of the Holy Spirit in inspiring the scripture. This balance has helped me so much!
Amazing video! God bless!
Good way to do it. If I have doubts i always see what the KJV says.
Amen! I have several version, I mainly read in ESV but have had the NLT the longest as it was the easiest to understand in plain, modern day English.
IMO that is the perfect thing to do.
The NLT is not a translation, it is a paraphrase. It is dangerous and should be avoided.
I decided on NLT as a beginner, only because I understood it a lot better.
For example:
NLT
Gen 1:6 Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”
NKJV
Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
I guess it's fine for beginners
Some Christians make me feel guilty for reading NLT… but it’s the translation that keeps me consistently in the word. I’ve grown a lot from reading NLT even now that I’ve been a Christian for many years. I also like CSB
DLM, 'Thank You' for your prophetic teachings. May God bless you and continue using you as HIS divine messenger. Blessings

Thank you for this video, I was raised on the NIV version of the Bible, I have just recently taken a liking to reading the KJV a bit for clarification but However, I am now leading more towards the NKJV..
NASB95 is my personal preference. It's extremely easy to read and understand in my opinion. I never understood why people say it's hard to understand because it's word-for-word. I find that it was beautifully translated.
No English translation is word for word.
Your NASB95 has removed Lucifer , what else is missing
@@nzbrotrev9028 Lucifer is the Latin word for morning star. It does not belong in an English translation of a Greek text. That error of the KJV translators has been corrected.
@@Chomper750 Lucifer means shining one , light bearer .
Jesus is the bright and morning star ( Rev 22 v 16 )
Your version causes confusion.
@@nzbrotrev9028 No it doesn’t. It isn’t confusing at all to anyone who actually pays attention. Isaiah 14 is describing Satan who held a very high position in heaven, falling. Shining one, son of dawn, whatever you want to call it is referring to the high status before the fall.
The KJV is flawed because it is a Hebrew to English translation, but throws a Latin word in there making the translation inaccurate. The Latin Vulgate calls Jesus “lucifer” in 2 Peter 1. Lucifer isn’t a name. It is a description of status.

The wheat are the true belivers that see what's going on and come out of churches, because the hireling is their ( look up the word hireling). God has hired him to prepare this world for judgement. For those who are inclined to heavy study of the scripture, I would recommend NET. It has tons and tons of footnotes to explain the meaning and what other original texts say. But for daily reading, I use CSB.

The Amplified Bible is good for beginners that are trying to interpret the scriptures. Amplified Bible helped me a lot. Whenever I read the ESV version and NASB version which are both my fav translations I tend to look at the Amplified Bible to help me get clarity, and as I continue to observe them back in ESV and NASB to get the general sense for myself what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach me here, it then clicks.
Remember what The Lord said about anyone who added or deleted or altered the scripture ( I paraphrase) will be
Dealt with accordingly!

Thanks Daniel! Man I was racking my brain as to which version to get.
Excellent video, thank you Jesus for this Chanel🙏😇
I love the saying "The best version of the bible is the one you read." I think people read diffrerent versions at different points of their journey with Christ. All have pros and cons. Just learn to love the word, and decode what God is trying to tell us in each verse.
Christians have to be extremely careful and cautious about the Bible that you read. Words CAN be twisted to make them fit a person's own mistaken beliefs. Even a single bit of misunderstanding can be the difference between whether he/she is going to heaven or hell.
This was great for me. Thank you so much
Thank you, Pastor, thank you.
I actually like the NLT for its readability and same for NIV. However my church primarily uses the ESV in services and such and it is harder to read but not too bad. I think the smartest thing is to use multiple translations to get the true meaning.
I agree. I use my NLT most cause it's easy to read, but I compare with my KJV, and the interlinear on Bible hub when digging deeper for the true meanings.
Yes, I have to study application NIV very easy to understand also the NLT, wondering if they have a ESV study application?
Love this chańnel how you simplify things brother so we can understand it the message you are trying to get across GREAT job

The apocrypha was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D. A portion of these books were called deuterocanonical books by some entities, such as the Catholic church.
Thank you, thank you.
Ive been researching this through the bowels of the internet. You sir I believe broke it down the best.
As a follower of Christ you should study the entire Bible. This is one of the biggest problems with Christianity today, trying to pick and choose what parts of God's word you should read and follow. It doesn't work that way. All of God's words matter.
Yes Gods Holy Word is the Inspired word of God!! All of it is what we need and should run towards!! As true believers and followers of Christ we receive and obey every word.
Yes, if you cherrypick certain parts of the Bible and certain doctrines & books, and leave others out, then you’re creating your own god through your cherrypicked, curated perceptions and ideas. Which is what makes me wary of catholics and other denominations.
@@rflxgaming9628 No cherry picking here, Gods Word is THE SOURCE FOR ABSOLUTE TRUTH !! 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness...
Yes, true, but, I have a hard time understanding the bible, due, to language.
Good News Translation is one of the translations I read, I can understand it because it use modern English so it's easy.
That's the one i does use as well. What i is do is, I read the KJV first then open up the GNT to try make the words easier and also use a dictionary and thesaurus.
The KJV has alot of Scottish Gaelic influence. That is why you see so many words like "Thee" and "Thou" and "Ye".
Thank you for the video, I think im gonna go with ESV

Thank you Daniel it your advice help me a lot 😁
The ones I personally use are the NIV (1984 version- before gender neutral language was added in 2011) for casual reading but I’m going to switch to the ESV once for most of my reading once I receive my large print single column journaling ESV Bible, ESV for Bible studies, and NASB1995 for a word for word translation.
I’ve recently gotten over my small depressive episode caused by KJV only users telling me that I’m not truly saved and that I’m going to hell for not reading the KJV only.
Then I realized that I read my Bible far more than they do so I got out of that depressive episode and got back to it.
I am glad you brought that up. I have used a Ryrie NIV study bible for years and I find the 1984 version great. I also use my Church History ESV version as well as a newer NET version. (I check my old KJV and RSV bibles to cross check.)
There are many different versions of the Bible-with new translations coming out all the time, it seems-and sometimes it’s hard for Christians to agree on which one is best to use. Different churches recommend different translations, and many church-goers simply go with the version being preached in the pulpit. The good news is that Christians don’t have to agree on one translation of the Bible.
First, because of language barriers, it’s impossible for all Christians worldwide to agree on one Bible. If we all agreed that the KJV (for example) is the one true Bible, then what are Christians to read who speak Spanish or French? There’s no such thing as King James Russian or King James Papiamento. Non-English translations have to be made, and there’s nothing more “inspired” about a translation in English than a translation in, say, Urdu.
But if we limit our consideration to English translations, Christians still don’t have to agree on one Bible. There are several reasons why various Bible translations are good and even necessary:
1) Language changes over time, and words and spellings become obsolete. Christians in the 21st century do not have to agree with the spelling of the 14th century. For example, consider John 3:16 in the first English translation ever made, John Wyclif’s 14th-century version:
“For God louede so the world, that he yaf his 'oon bigetun sone, that ech man that bileueth in him perische not, but haue euerlastynge lijf.”
And here is the same verse in the KJV of 1611:
“For God so loued þe world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life.”
Obviously, these translations (which were necessary in their time) needed to be replaced with translations that reflected contemporary spelling.
2) Christians don’t have to agree on one version of the Bible because only the original autographs of Scripture were inspired. The words that Joshua wrote in the Book of the Law of God (Joshua 24:26) were inspired by God. Every translation of those words since that time has involved a measure of human interpretation-that’s the nature of translating. For example, the Hebrew word Joshua wrote concerning false gods was nekar in Joshua 24:23. That inspired word can be translated into English as “strange,” “foreign,” or “alien,” or the gods in question can simply be called “idols.” It’s up to the translator, but the basic meaning does not change. The English translation is not what’s inspired anyway, as most Christians would agree.
3) Christians don’t have to agree on one version of the Bible because such agreement would tend to foster autocracy and absolutism. Having different translations prevents any one group or church from saying, “Only our translation is holy. We are the only ones who have God’s Word.” This is in fact what happened during the Middle Ages. The Roman Catholic Church (and later the Anglican) held in their grasp all the copies of the Bible (in Latin, which most people could not read), and they forbade anyone else from making a copy or reading it for themselves. Bibles in the vernacular were illegal. Fortunately, the Reformation changed all that: Luther made a German translation, and Tyndale an English translation, and the rest, as they say, is history.
4) Christians shouldn’t have to agree on one version of the Bible because having different translations allows more people access to God’s Word. Various versions of the Bible are written at various reading levels. The KJV, for example, is about a 12th-grade reading level. The NKJV is about a 7th-grade reading level. The NCV has a 3rd-grade reading level. The ERV (Easy-to-Read Version) is better for people just learning English. John 3:16 in the ERV is, “Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.” If all Christians agreed on the NIV Bible, for example, anyone at a reading level lower than junior-high would have difficulty reading God’s Word.
It’s important to know that not every translation is equally faithful to the original text: some take a more literal approach, and some take a more dynamic approach. But all good translations of the Bible do their best to stay true to the original Greek and Hebrew texts and accurately communicate the Word of God.
In the final analysis, agreement on one particular translation is not all that crucial. Most of the differences are quite minor. Mark 3:5, for example, reads like this in four popular translations:
“He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts . . .” (NIV).
“And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart . . .” (ESV).
“And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts . . .” (KJV).
“After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart . . .” (NASB).
The wording is different, but they all mention Jesus’ look, His anger, His distress/grief, and the people’s stubborn/hard hearts. What is the value in promoting one of these translations to the exclusion of all the others?
The differences among the good translations are not differences in doctrine. Whether we’re reading the KJV, the NIV, the NAS, the ESV, or the ERV, Jesus is still the Lord and one-and-only Savior, and salvation still comes by grace through faith. www.gotquestions.org/Christians-agree-Bible.html
I reccomend you watch the: Defending the Kjv playlist from the: RealBibleBelievers youtube channel. There are kjv's in different languages, but they have different name's. For geman speakers it's the luther bibel 1546 and the spanish speakers have one to. The one the dutch use is called the sv1637 and that's a few example's.

Amen so true brother
The ending message is lovely. 😍
Very insightful! I first used the KJ, then switched to NASB. I recently got an ESV but our pastor uses KJ, so I’m back where I started!
After growing up with the KJV over the years loving the word of God, it was still difficult to fully understand a lot of passages especially in the OT. I had the opportunity to get some of the newer translations over the years. I got a NT called The New Testament in Modern English by J.B. Phillips years ago, that I love, but it's in paragraph form with verses noted. And it was only the NT. After looking at so many new translations in modern times I ended up picking the NLT. I can read it with better understanding about the circumstance when I read passages, especially in the OT. And I can compare passages with my NKJV to better understand everything that's going on around that specific passage.
what does contemporary english bible mean
I read ESV.
Word for word translations are better than thought for thought (paraphrase) translations!! 😊🙏📖🔥🔥🔥

You are a FAKE! You are NOT Daniel! Go away!

The “Daniel” I was referring to was a fake impersonating Daniel Meritz and trying to dupe people into giving money. That comment has now been reported and removed. The real Daniel knows all about it and has had this problem before. You can calm down now.
Actually the holy spirit disagreed. In the Bible itself it says to translate in a way so that people can always understand. Word for word translations often are so literal that they can lose meaning very easily. The ESV is very careful to avoid doing this, it’s a great translation. But the CSB does a far better job of having a balance of word for word and thought for thought
