A textbook example of how to ACT a song, not just sing it.
She has such an amazing voice and has such great acting ability. If you loved The Great Comet, listen to Ghost Quartet. You hear her full range and ability. If you're not up for the whole musical, just listen to Any Kind of Dead Person and/or Hero. I love you Brittain. I would never drive a train through your heart. Or steal your work. Or your starchild. Or eat you up like berries.
lmao. But yeah she's really amazing. At first I heard Great Comet and wasn't really a fan of her style, but it fits the character really well, and now I'm completely in love. Also, her acting is just so good in the little scenes in Ghost Quartet. She really almost sounds like a different person during each of her songs.

her voice is kind if hard to understand for musical theatre but her emotion is so it almost doesn't even matter. besides all of Sonyas songs are haunting so it works

Also I HIGHLY recommend Ghost Quartet, a show Dave Malloy wrote for himself to perform with Brittain, Gelsey Bell (also in Great Comet of 1812) and another friend. So it is tailored to each of their talents, which besides singing include playing multiple instruments. Since the cast is only four people, Brittain is heavily featured in the show, and as you can imagine, sounds amazing!
