Pool: Shotcrete

In this episode: It’s concrete day! The 12-man crew from Consolidated Shotcrete shot and formed the 10 inch thick concrete shell today!
Shotcrete vs. Gunite: Shotcrete is 'wet' from the truck and is pumped up the line to the nozzle where it gets blasted at the wall with compressed air. Gunite is dry from the truck and the water is added at the nozzle.
It sounds like it's breathing, but what's happening is that the shotcrete pump pulses, but the compressed air is always on.
We’ve got to keep the concrete wet for several days to prevent cracking as it cures.
